It's rare you won't find a line of people queuing outside of this tiny Little Tokyo spot. Their signature Daikokuya Ramen features a rich, creamy tonkotsu broth you'll wish you could drink from a can. Read more
If I am in the downtown area or passing thru I will make it a point to stop in here for a bowl of their Daikoku Ramen ... the best broth & noodles ... the seasoned egg is to die for! Great vibe!
Usually a wait to be seated. Walk in and write your name on the clipboard. Remember your number! The noodles are perfect. Not sure how they make theirs so much better than everyone else.
This is the best ramen spot I've tried so far in Los Angeles. I got the daikoku ramen koterri style with a side of fried rice . The broth was amazing and the pork was melting away.
The best Tonkotsu ramen I have ever had. The broth had the richest porky flavor. The flavor of browned pork came through very strongly. This type of broth usually tastes generic, this tasted of pork .
The kotteri daikoku ramen is good, though it's not as good as Ippudo ramen in Fukuoka. The shredded pork rice bowl however, is HEAVENLY! Gyoza is awesome too. The line is long, but worth the wait.
The best place in town for ramen . Very authentic , feels like you're in Tokyo. Always a little line , so get there 30 mins early, put your name down, and take a romantic stroll. - India de Beaufort
Ramen combo is super good. had the salmon bowl. the size of the combo is really really big. their salad dressing is amazing, thus they definitely have a legit reason to actually sell that dressing .
Gotta get the ramen , obviously. The spicy miso has a great balance and comes with the richer back fat broth. If you don’t go spicy , at least get the richer broth!
Go for the combo for the first time. You can experience more. Don't get appetizers ! The broth is perfection and filling. 😉 eel was like whoa😍
1st Ramen spot I've ever tried and glad it was here. If you want some extra flavor burst, add the back fat! The wait took some time & seating area for large groups isn't so good, but food was great!
Love the salad dressing and the combo meals are definitely the best value. Tempura and teriyaki chicken are great. Adding chili powder really helps the flavor of the soup .
The dishes are terrific, the service is very fast unfortunately the waitress forgot two dishes that were included in the package that we ordered, at the end you’ll want to come back ’cuz it worths.
Snagged a half bowl of their classic ramen late on a Saturday, and it was well worth the short wait ! Solid broth that's simple but well done.
Perfect on a rainy night, open late , cash only , yes a wait and limited seating but those noodles ... actually a full bar too!
I've only tried their pork belly ramen , but that was enough to convince me of the excellent quality of food they have! Will definitely recommend to others!
I found the Pork cutlet rice bowl the most delicious I have ever had, the ramen is full of umami flavor from the bone soup , but I found it too strong.
no reservations , gotta put your name on a list. plan on waiting a while. grab some mochi gelato while you wait down the street! My favorite ramen shop in america, worth the wait!
Can't go wrong with the house ramen and some amazing gyoza ! The tuna bowl isn't too bad either to cool things off a bit.
Even if your name was called when you were killing time around Little Tokyo, just let them know and they’ll seat you next! Service is great and fast here.
Tsukemen.. Thats all i have to say. So good that i literally cant eat it at any other ramen spot 👏🏾
The best Ramen experience since moving back from Fukuoka. The wait for seating is ridiculously long, but the Ramen is worth the wait.
My go-to place is 新撰组, a couple blocks away. Go to this one at midnight when it's still open and there is no line . Rich broth. Best group treat
The place isn't very big at all, but it is always swarming with hungry happy people looking to eat amazing ramen . First time yesterday...had the daikokuya ramen and it was the bomb dot com.
Perfect plan for a rainy afternoon. There was NO line , no waiting! Ramen and Sapporo draft , FTW!
They have Some Dank Ramen 👌... Very Yummy! Ramen is so Addicting to eat!!❤🍥🍲🍥
A chain where the signature tonkotsu ramen includes broth that has been boiled overnight. The waits can be longer than NYC's now-legendary Ippudo, even for one person, but worth it.
Great value combo set! Try the ramen with shredded pork bowl ! 🐽🐷👍
Fantastic ramen despite the limited options (don't back down from choosing kotteri style), you'll probably have to wait for a table though
Creamy broth and chewy noodles are perfection. Don't be one of those people that finishes eating and then sits around chatting!
Very delicious ramen , but last time I went they only take cash so make sure you keep that in mind before heading over. I had to go to the atm across the street.
Epic ramen , maybe the best I’ve had in the states !
Japanese food are always good to be digested & doesn't have any side effect too. But taking care of our oral health is important just like taking care of other issues in our body.
Get the ramen as is. Koteri stands for "more flavor" but it really means more pork fat in the broth. It's delicious but excessive. Best Ramen in LA . BEST egg in ramen ever!
The most authentic and delicious tonkotsu you can get in LA. If only it wasn't so damned crowded all the damned time.
Ramen . It's the jam . Add the extra flavor. Make sure to get a side salad too!! Dressing is amazing.
Huge portions 😁
So worth the wait for the ramen . It was around a 1.5/2 hour wait. Just overall so satisfying.
Come for the ramen , but stay for the frickin' SHREDDED PORK BOWL ! Its frickin' FANTASTIC & in my opinion.. Actually outshines the ramen its so good.
The Daikokuya special ramen is delicious! If you want lunch on a weekend, get here before opening. It gets crazy busy!
I love this place. Phenomenal ramen . Expect long wait . Cash only .
Their pork sausage & slice roast pork are NOT to be missed!! 👍👍👍
When you're done with you're meal, move somewhere else to chitchat, the line is long. Give other people a chance to enjoy this heavenly meal too.
Good broth. Braised pork is not as flavorful on its own -- eat it with the broth & noodle .
It's a very good spot. Always crowded . The other location on Sunset blvd does not have the same line , but has the same taste!
Enjoy some of the best ramen in Los Angeles here in Little Tokyo for less than $9/bowl.
The ramen is reaaaaally great and the portion is reaaaaaaaaally big, so think twice before ordering a “combo”.
pretty great place for ramen , but don't be afraid to try shin-sen-gumi or men-oh in the neighborhood too...
Ordering Ramen is easy since there is one main item on the menu and everything else revolves around that item. Tasty good food.
My favorite ramen in LA. Customizable in terms of salt, onion, etc. always delicious - JT
Personally, my favorite ramen in LA. The Tonkatsu-Shoyu is where it's at - broth is super rich & savory. Take it to the next level by adding the spicy habañero miso. - Tonio Baquiran
Order the Curry Ramen or Chicken Bamboo Ramen...absolutely delicious! If you're not too hungry order the mini-size *^^* - (=^ェ^=)
You have to try the double soft raisin bread and the RUSK bread! - Michele McNeill
Nice place, chill atmosphere. Huge sushi portions at a very reasonible price! - Will Cox
