Go early in the morning to avoid the crowds esp if you want to shop but come back at night to enjoy the lights and atmosphere
Crowded and cold tonight but the warm spicy mulled wine is delish. Also try hot waffles with sour cherries, you can't get much Christmassy than that!
Have a pint of the amazing weiss beer at the Deutsches Bar at the top of the market. £4 deposit until you return the glass, or keep it!
The market has really been scaled back this year. The fresh salmon sandwich I had was fantastic though.
Love Angles tear drinks. Hotdog cheese. Lovely market.
The queue for tickets is huge in St. Andrews Square; go to Princes Street for much shorter queue :)
I love hot chocolate with marshmallow and whipping cream :)
I felt so claustrophobic I had to leave. I did manage to buy a pathetic "luxury" hot cocoa. After the amazing hot cocoa at Urban Angel, this one practically made me cry and desperate for my 4£ back.
Must visit!! Amazing place to spend the Christmas night
At the Gluhwein stall you want to order a Heidi. Blackberry wine and schnapps. That'll warm you up!
Fantastic Christmassy atmosphere - helped along by the gluwine
Easily the best Christmas market I've Been
Try the Glühwein, other specials include smoked Kasseler and Käsespätzle.
Absolutely mobbed! Gluwein very tasty.
Mistletoe Mead do an excellent Hot Buttered Cranberry Punch (Alcoholic and Drivers versions)
A "pull" sign on the Gent's Toilets would be nice.
Its a fucking disaster this year. Underbelly fucking around as lately n Edinburgh. The prices are way too high, some stalls with really low quality and the closing hours are just what they want.
Worth a wander
Shneemans-Punsch sweet and warming. Keep the cup for £2.50.
Glühwein sweets
Beware pickpockets!! I just had a hand try my pockets, sad but true.
Beware, the rides here are v pricey!
Too busy. Try and go there on a weekday and not a Sunday.
Go and have some Glühwein just in front of the National Museum.
Try the choc banana crepes there great
Very posh portaloos
Go to German Christmas Market. Buy a waffle. Do not pass Go.
