Lamb soup is wonderfully spicy and warming. A great addition to that is the lamb pattè on a homemade rye bread . Staff is extremely nice + Free wifi :)
Rye bread ice cream !So good u'll be tempted not to share.A healthy dessert as its not sweet&does not feel cloying at all.Head to the 2nd floor to get a view of the church while u enjoy your ice cream
Had a delicious Icelandic sampler platter of mashed fish , smoked trout , smoked lamb , fermented shark, & dried fish . Definitely recommend it, & had a nice schnapps of birsk to complement it afterwards
Try the Icelandic plate - two rye bread slices, one with mashed fish & the other with egg & herring , and Loki's unique Rye bread ice cream .
Icelandic superstition: if you can keep down a piece of fermented shark and take a shot of Black Death, you are a man. Megan and I are men (Bryson & Michael, too).
Traditional Icelandic food . Get the Icelandic plate #3! And try the shark meat for tasting if you want (warning: it's not that good) also, their rye bread ice cream is a must!
Decent coffee and great sample plates of traditional Icelandic staples like roast lamb on flatbread and dried fish . The rye bread ice cream is a must try, it's delicious!
Best breakfast in Reykjavik so far! Icelandic plate 3 and pancake with skyr and caramel are a must! You will not regret it. You can pass on the cappuccino though.
Authentic Icelandic spot right next to Hallgrímskirkja. Be brave and try the shark sampler and dried fish with butter. (Don't smell the shark before consumption)
Good location, service and icelandic food . One drawback: was there on Good Friday and it was the only place in Iceland I experienced applying +20% on the prices due to Easter.
The place to have the local breakfast . You should try the lamb soup or the smashed fish . Latte is good as well
The rye-bread ice cream is tasty without being overly sweet, and the Farmers Coffee is an interesting blend of coffee and the local Brennivin liquor .
Nice little cafe near the main church downtown. Went in for breakfast and they offered a full menu at that time. Nice service and good food.
original islandic kitchen - lamb was delicious - nice friendly staff and a somehow mesmerizing wallpainting
Great place to try small amounts of some of the more unusual old Icelandic foods like the basking shark dried fish . Yummy rye bread ice cream
Four words: rye bread ice cream . (Well , one word in Icelandic: rúgbrauðsís.) Get one of the tasting plates that includes it. The meat soup is also good if you want something hot.
Great Loki tea and meat soup , also a perfect place to try the infamous hakarl as they don't give you too much of it (chew really well ).
Awesome Icelandic food ! Had the daily special , and was blown away. The staff is very friendly !
A must do breakfast in Reykjavik to try horrendous shark and otherwise lovely other local treats
A local brought us here for Icelandic food . The vegetarian plate was really quite good. My wife enjoyed her fish stew as well .
Meatballs 😋 Fried cod 😋 Lamb shank 😋 Rye bread ice cream 😋 Love ball😋 Carrot cake 😋 The service - All was excellent😃😃
Love it. I wouldn't go for the Klein's as it's very heavy but the Christmas plate was very nice.
Everything here is delicious. Try something new! Service was friendly and great. Plan on coming every day of our stay in Reykjavik !
good portions, authentic Íslandic, get brennevin in hot chocolate , you won't regret it
Amazing Icelandic culinary experience! Ask for Brieta & go for the rack of lamb 😍
Excellent place, very good food and nice personnel! Definitely recommend it and don't be afraid of the shark!
Omg the shark. Did order the meat soup and the islandic plate 1. We recommend!
Iceland Plate II - great cured and smoked meats . Try the shark but don't smell it - needs some chasers
The mashed fish and trout featured on some of the Icelandic plates are both very good
Pancake with skyr and caramel = amazing. Meat soup is amazing too
Excellent food! The Icelandic plate 4 is superb. Delicious flavor and dessert too !

The rye bread ice cream was very delicious. Pretty high prices for the quantity of food served.
It felt like a tourist trap but we went anyway since it got good reviews. We had the Icelandic plate that was mediocre at best. Too much butter, the smoke tastes was too present in the fish . Avoid.
Check out the Hákarl(fermented shark)! It's not as scary as everyone makes it sound.
A nice and relaxing place to stop by and have a cup of coffee .
We *loved* this place. The spelt bagel with trout was fantastic, in fact everything was really delicious.
The meat soup and the gratinated fish were very good. You can try the shark - but do not smell it before.
Second floor gives a good view of the Church . Good place to sample traditional Icelandic fare
Icelandic plate II was delicious. Coffee was not good though. It has a beautiful view of the hallgrimskirkja.
The fish stew is delicious! Try the hakarl as well ;-)
Great breakfast in reasonable prides.
rye bread is so good! The rye bread ice cream is even more amazing!
Try the shark. You may regret it, but do it anyway. Service was poor unfortunately, you need to be quite assertive to get attention from the staff .
I recommend the herring and rye ice cream ; though not together:).
Tasty food; nice service
Spelt bagels were delicious and simple. Desserts were ok but very creamy!
One-of-a-kind rye bread ice cream . Offers great views of the church while you dine!
Everything is good here! Don't be afraid to try anything new.
Herring is amazing and Rye Ice cream
