Amazing for a date. Coffee/tea and dessert recommended. Desserts are delightfully decadent. Espresso is perfected. Also, the bookstore - gorgeous, excellent and varied selection.

The deco is very European. the Kaiser pancake is what Ido came for after having had it in Vienna. But the apple strudel with whipped cream and coffee , Wonderful service, and such a delightful setting.

A European style cafe with Viennese food, pastry and coffee specialities accompanied with great chamber music . I found coffee a bit pricey but food is quite affordable .

Extremely expensive but also truly authentic from the decor to the wait staff to the food. If you're planning on treating yourself this is a great place to do it — otherwise go to the downstairs cafe .

every time I come I get: trout crepes , bratwurst mit cheddar cheese , pretzel . I am never disappointed with these 3. for dessert get the shredded soufflé with fruit compote .

Great atmosphere, although there's often a wait. My usual is weisswurst (which comes with a warm soft pretzel ), strong coffee , and a slice of sachertorte .

The food is delicious. A little bit fancy a little bit expensive but totally worth it. The desserts are out of this world, you MUST have one.

Order wiener melange if you d like to have a cappuccino . Topfentorte is such a lovely cheesecake . :)

Breakfast of soft boiled eggs and brioche is delish and the room is charming and comfortable . One of my best discoveries in NYC!

The sachertorte here is awesome. Also love the German cafe vibe - you won't find it anywhere else in the city

Cod and borscht is great. The apple strudel too, but not as good as the hot chocolate .

Authentic Austrian food right on museum mile. You can't go wrong with any of the meat dishes but you better save room for the apple strudel .

Get the apple streudrel!!! Wow. Coffee is fantastic, the whipped cream in amazingly not sweet. Chocolate almonds , wow. Hot chocolate is so subtle and light. Fantastic.
