When erected in 1828, it was the tallest structure in the United States . Molten lead was dropped from a sieve at the top into water at the bottom to form "drop shot" bullets for guns until 1892.
The trivia questions on this venue are super tricky. They either can't be found on the plaques or the answers are not provided!!! Be careful!
Nice tower to view from afar, too many creepy homeless folks sleeping on benches in the area.
Too many homeless, drug dealers and users for me.
