A classy oasis tucked into a charmingly tiny space, I Sodi is a deeply under-hyped restaurant . The food is simple and perfect, from the tartar to the life-changing lasagna . Listen up for the specials.
Omg the lasagna 🙌🏼🙌🏼 Takes an additional 25 mins when you order, but so worth it. Never had lasagna like this in my life- so melty and rich and perfect! Steak tartare was stellar too.
All the dishes were exceptional. I would go to have the same meal again. We doubled up On the amazing salad . Had the fried artichokes . Then 3 pastas . Lasagna . Vongole & Cacio peppe. All to die for.
Perfect for date night . Gets really busy, and is fairly small, so put your name down early if you don't have a reso. Must order the artichokes and the steak tartare . Tiramisu is a must!
I Sodi is our top pick. It offers completely authentic Tuscan cuisine, with items like cacio e pepe (spaghetti with black pepper and pecorino ), rather than penne alla vodka and $1 pizza slices . Read more
Quaint neighbourhood spot that is near perfection. Service at the bar was outstanding and very personable.
A+ across the board. Excellent service , the food is delicious on all counts and the vibe is great! Lasagna special is second to none! Negroni cocktail to start is highly recommended.
omg i sodi is the perfect balance of charming, rustic , and upscale . I know everyone says you should go for the lasagna but what swept me off my feet was the cacio e pepe ! Also, perfect martinis .
Order the fried artichokes if available! The pastas are all super tasty, especially the cacio e pepe . Ask your server for recommendations on Nebbiolo to pair with your meal.
[Restaurant/Bar] Our favorite Italian, hands down - Tuscan trucker food the way it should be. Try the pepper spaghetti . Book well in advance or try to get a seat at the bar .
Food is excellent and the execution on cocktails was strong. Spinach ravioli is worth a try and lasagna is a showstopper as is Rabbit porchetta . Ambiance was a little sterile on first visit though
Amazing ingredient and no gimmicks approach makes this place a true NYC gem. Negroni , steak tartare and lasagna were both excellent. Cacio e Pepe next time!
Loved the cacio e Pepe and the tiramisu ! 5/5 for a classic Italian meal
One of the best lasagnas and fried artichokes and chocolate cakes I've ever had. Lemon pasta was very good. Ravioli eh.
This tiny, beautifully-designed West Village restaurant serves some of the city 's best pastas & a small list of rustic Tuscan-style meat dishes. Make reservations well ahead of time. [Eater 38 Member]
Negroni lovers rejoice, this place treats your favourite drink with serious respect. Also don't miss the lasagne and the black kale .
Walk-ins at the bar are pretty easy, which is nice considering how hard reservations are to get. Lasagna was the only great dish we had, but onion pasta , tartare , artichoke salad , & rabbit were fine.
Wow, 100% worth the hype! I am from Italy and I consider this restaurant to be quite authentic . Will be back ASAP!
straightforward, delicious Tuscan cuisine in an intimate setting . a good amount of bar seating if dining solo or with a friend!
This modern yet homey Italian space features well-executed pasta classics and an entire menu devoted to variations on Negroni cocktails . Great date spot .
outstanding! absolutely loved the artichoke lasagna and ravs with spinach ricotta and sage . The antipasto for two was enormous and fried artichokes were to die for! new favorite date spot .
Negronis , lasagna , and cacio e Pepe are all delicious
MICHAEL MINARIK: "Best Italian food I've had in the city . Their olive oil is shipped in from the owner’s farm in Tuscany & is a meal in and of itself. I especially love going here in the wintertime." Read more
Simple, elegant Italian executed very well . Still daze about the creamy, punchy cacio e pepe and airy, show-stealing tiramisu . Perfect 3rd date.
The hype. I know. But sadly, I found almost everything lacked an extra "it" factor to make it worth all the noise. Still, the negronis are top notch, and the cacio e pepe is very, very good.
Amazing Italian. Negronis are some of the best in the city , the pasta is as good as Carbone.
Our favorite place to come for solid Cacio e Pepe . It's a simple dish, but they really know how to do it right here.
Take either the Rigatoni strascicati or the cacio e Pepe ; great selection of wines ; fantastic service ... Great place to eat at the bar by yourself or in good company
Lasagna super tasty. salad Too. Pork chop was overcooked - had to send back. Not sure will return after long wait to get a resi.
Some of the best Italian food I've had in NYC. Do not miss the tartare , the artichoke salad , and the lasagna .
The lasagna is very good indeed
Dear Olvie Garden -- please send your food artists to this place instead of your Tuscan kitchen. This place is the real deal. #1 Italian joint in NYC
Lasagna is incredible. Cacio e Pepe is very good. Steak tartare is a must have, best in the city .
Excellent Italian food , possibly the best in New York.
It's incredible food and wonderfully warm and thoughtful service.
Everything was on the salty side. This ruined the cacio e pepe a bit but would still recommend the lasagna and fried artichokes .
it's possible that we tried every item on the menu.. and all outstanding! just mind the gap/watch ur step at the exit or you will bust ass.
Perfectly simple and deftly cooked, produce-driven Italian fare . If only it wasn't so hard to get a table!
Cacio e pepe !!!! this is my all time favorite place.. Small and cozy , nothing too fancy but the pasta tastes the best.
Always the lasagna . Grilled ramps when available. Fried artichokes .
Pasta . Pasta . Pasta ! Also, their fish is divine.
Home for regional Tuscan cooking, down to the freshly pressed olive oil .
this is the best lasagna
Loved the cacio e Pepe and the tiramisu ! 5/5
Say hi to Rita the owner. She may be sitting by the bar next to you. She is the woman with glasses and short hair.
Amazing food. Get the lasagna , peas and tiramisu . Love Dumante (pistachio liquor ) for dessert
Try everything on the menu. It keeps on getting even better. Ragu is my new religion
My favorite restaurant !! Beautiful food, beautiful place and wonderful service ! 5 stars!
Rabbit -- get some, but ask for it to be named first!
Grilled tomato and mozzarella is delightful. Must try the lasagne .
The tortellini was delicious. A great vegetarian friendly restaurant in the West Village! - Zak Suhar
The Amatriciana eggs are to die for. Get the fennel salad too! - Marianna Fierro
Chrysanthemum salad, veal and lasagna for two! Really attentive service and let you taste test the wines by glass. Fun vibe! - Ursula Tudela
Earl grey in the waffle cone! Simple but creamy, smooth and amazingly delicious. - Candace Metzger
Cute little theater that's far removed from the hustle and bustle of Broadway, but with great shows. - Scott Kleinberg
