Harold Washington Park

Members of the Hyde Park community joined Mayor Emanuel, Parks CEO Mike Kelly & Alderman Burns to celebrate the opening of Harold Washington Park's playground with a ribbon cutting on Sun., June 22.

I love this park . It's like the United Nations. I have a multicultural family and we feel very comfortable and fit right in when we come here, and the kids absolutely love it!

It would be a nicer park if people who come from other neighborhoods would clean up after themselves. They pull tables, grills, chairs out of their cars then eat, drink and leave. With the trash cans

The shops are not south of the park . They are west of the park !!!

Harold Washington did NOT live in Del Prado Apartments , he lived in the Hampton House next door!!!

Chess Tables

This is a large park wit a walking track , tennis courts , a soccer area, a fountain and just south of the park are shops. Lake shore drive runs along the other side.

Harold lived across the street from this park in the Del Prado apartments .
