Offers wider menu options in a trendier space than the Soho restaurant . In addition to top notch sushi , the chicken liver mousse and bone marrow & oxtail rice are just as good as everyone says!
The omakase ($95) was a good mix of sashimi , nigiri and maki rolls . Great presentation and some very fresh and tasty fish . If you're hungry get chicken wings with wasabi honey and scallop skewers
It’s a party-time restaurant with a huge menu to suit pretty much anyone with a chilled out atmosphere. There’s also a beer garden attached to it, and it has ping pong tables .
The ambiance is top-notch. If you're in for a tasting adventure, dive into the omakase . The rest of the menu is just as delectable with a wide variety of choices. Pricey , but worth it overall.
Fried chicken and baked clams with miso paste are my favourite dishes! (Savory and satisfying) Great service, even provided mousse to commemorate my birthday.
Recommend: dynamite burger (scallop and mushroom covered with fish roe and then grilled in the shell?!!), oxtail and bone marrow fried rice , chicken liver mousse , blue ribbon roll, beef tongue .
Expensive but worth it. Big and great ambiance. Sushi was solid but we tried the oxtail and bone marrow fried rice based on comments we saw online and it was amazing, make sure to give it a try.
Amazing fried rice (oxtail and bone marrow for the win)! In terms of sushi , get the the salmon/tuna/yellowtail combo, spicy tuna and spicy lobster . Also yummy: gomae, chicken liver , scallops .
Excellent sushi . Super spendy and super worth it. The surprise of the night was the oxtail and bone marrow fried rice . It was amazeballs. Miso cod was good too but raw fish > cooked.
Wasn't in love with the sushi but pleasantly surprised by the oxtail and bone marrow fried rice , black cod and beef tenderloin skewers . Would come back just for that!
It's the best Japanese house salad you'll ever have, and enough for 2. Sit at the comfy bar . Try the rock shrimp skewer and skirt steak appetizer . Fried chicken is worth trying at least once!
I much prefer the sushi deluxe platter to sharing the special blue ribbon platter - you get more nigiri and less rolls
I could eat a pound of the chicken liver mouse on Challah toast , and I don't even like chicken liver . Bonus: the restaurant is huge, comfortable , and great looking.
I'm a vegetarian , so when I eat meat or fish I make sure it's well worth it. I must say Blue Ribbon isn't just hype, probably the best sushi I have ever had. Will be coming back again for sure.
Standouts: the skewers - beef tenderloin , scallops , & pork belly ; chicken liver & bacon fried rice (i find it's better than the bone marrow & oxtail tho I love both); and of course the raw seafood .
Blue Ribbon team opened this Lower East Side spot last night in the Thompson LES hotel . The famous fried chicken comes with wasabi honey and challah toast is topped with chicken liver mousse and miso Read more
Can't choose between the sushi and the fried chicken ? Don't! Everything is phenomenal. Personal favorite is the tuna roll .
The food is excellent, but the menu can be deceiving as the portions of the small plates are minuscule. Expect to order, and then order some more.
The chicken wings with the honey wasabi sauce, the oxtail and bone marrow fried rice and the chicken liver mousse are delicious. Do not leave without trying the ginger bread pudding .
You know that famous Blue Ribbon fried chicken ? Here you can get it as wings . Oh, and bone marrow fried rice . It's like Brasserie & Sushi had a baby after a one-night stand on the LES.
Toro tartare ; hearts of palm kinpira; chicken liver mousse ; friend chicken ; oxtail and bone marrow fried rice ; Tokyo Broil; smoked hamachi "box" sushi ; Boulevardier; Grapefruit-Hi
The bone marrow fried rice , avocado crispy rice and blue ribbon sushi platter is amazing.
I know that 'flight of vegetables ' sounds like the least exciting flight since anna paquin bored us to death in 'fly away home,' but it's actually a really really good appetizer . go for it!
We were a big group and ordered family style . Everything was excellent! (try the blue ribbon sake !)
Amazingly fresh fish . Bone marrow is fatty deliciousness. Try blue ribbon roll and a few pieces of toro if you can splurge
All of the fried rice dishes are supposed to be great. I can personally attest that the Oxtail & Bone Marrow is fantastic.
Get the frozen Kirin Ichiban beer at the Beer Garden . Also great chicken wings and sushi inside.
Love the second floor bar - spacious seating and a long list of delicious drinks. Great place to wind down the night
Years later this spot is still BUMPIN into the late nite. Great spot to bring visitors to the city before a nite out. Food is decent, not obnoxiously expensive and tons of options
Excellent sushi place for food and drinks with friends. Vegans : try the cucumber and avocado rolls . Best I've ever had.
Go before it gets busy and sit at the head of one of the super long tables. Our server (ask for Chris <3) recommended the Kanpachi appetizer , it did not disappoint!
Great date spot , salmon sashimi is so fresh and delicious. Keep it simple and you'll be fine. Spicy crab roll was just meh.
Oxtail and bone marrow fried rice is the best thing on the menu. Go for the sushi but don't skip out on the appetizers and dishes
Sushi and fried chicken . What can go wrong? It's like chicken and waffles , but way more awesome. Also, watch the sushi chefs ' line . Their talented.
Tried so many things I don't remember. Skewers are pretty costly as you only get one per order but everything tasted excellent.
Delicious. Get the scallops and take enough people to get the blue ribbon plate. Great sashimi and nigiri
Delicious sushi ! Their duck gyoza and crispy rice were also excellent.
Great place with amazingly friendly service and awesome cosy, dark interior!
Surprisingly big sushi place in the LES. Good sushi but not world class by any means. Good for groups
Came for the sushi , fell in love with the chicken wings . After dinner check out the tiki bar club at Sixty LES.
Do the omakase ! It's excellent! The hand roll is to die for!
Trendy ambiance. Definitely recommend the Chicken Katsu buns ! The sushi was very good too
Love the bone marrow rice . But I never leave without getting the scallop in miso butter yakatori. Love it.
Friendly service , nice design of the space, tasty food...quite noisy though. I'd go back for sure.
The chicken wings are okay, go for the yakitori and oxtail&bone narrow fried rice ! The Kyuri roll is a great refreshing choice if you like eel .
Oxtail fried rice FTW
If you had to get one thing it should be the ox tail and marrow fried rice . The absolute best fried rice , ever.
Sit on the right side of the sushi bar , that's where the head chef creates beautiful plates of sushi
The fried rice with ox tail and bone marrow is outrageously good. The fish melts in your mouth...seriously.
Loved the unfiltered sake in a box and the sushi platters!! Fresh almost like momoya :)
Great spot in fidi - rainbow and mango tuna roll with tempura flakes was delicious. - Elizabeth Burstein
The best sushi I can find for less than $100 per head. It doesn't taste frozen. Salmon is my favorite. Roll #5 too! - ᴡ Chao
Olive oil ice cream and orange hibiscus sorbet are a great combo! - Jessie Tang
Another one of my favorite places to catch live music-and usually do dinner in the neighborhood as well.Pala is my go to fav,and its right next door ! - Nikki Beauchamp
Pastrami is awesome the mustard sour cucomber as well! - Ingeborg Baardman
