The sushi is amazing and fresh always! Been coming for years. A little crammed and always a wait, but so worth it. Rolls are the size of your face so no first dates haha. Good bang for your buck!!
Service here is getting better and friendlier than in years past. Sushi is amazing. My faves: tuna tartare appetizer , crispy shrimpy and negi toro sushi . Also tuna and salmon sushi or sashimi .
Fantastic sushi , and the miso sea bass appetiser was phenomenal. Short wait for a table (15 mins) and the system for holding people in the hallway needs some work... but it's worth the wait.
Best in quality and size at the most reasonable price compared to so many other overrated/priced places in the city . They're UNI is the love of my life!
Great Sushi ! One of my top places for sushi in town . I try to visit every time I'm in NYC. The handrolls are amazing. My personal favorite is the spicy tuna .
Their spicy mayo is different than most places. And really good. Small spot so go for week day lunch or prepare for a little wait.
Sushi , sashimi , hand rolls , and cut rolls are all great. Fish is very fresh and the portions are large.
The rolls are enormous and they’re very generous with how much fish is on each piece of sushi ???????? Fish is really fresh, would skip any rolls with spicy mayo tbh
This subterranean sushi place evokes a "Jiro Dreams of Sushi " kind of vibe. While the fish might not be AS good, it's my favorite in the neighborhood . Be prepared to wait at peak hours.
The best sushi I can find for less than $100 per head. It doesn't taste frozen. Salmon is my favorite. Roll #5 too!
Excellent sushi with a wide variety of fish ! Also, get the Hamachi Kama !
Crispy Shrimp and Sushi Deluxe are very good. Big sushi pieces.
The Zen Box is a great combination of everything, their salmon is very fresh, only place I eat the salmon roll .
Love this sushi place, authentic Japanese food . It's crowded , might have to wait for a table.
Mango salmon roll , and any if the special rolls are super delish. Everything is stunning but modestly understated.
Everything. Looks may be deceiving, but this is some of the best sushi in the neighborhood .
Everything is good at Yama. Sushi sashimi for 2 fed 4 people. Yum
A no frills Japanese restaurant with charming outdoor sitting . A good bargain for the price. Fish was fresh but the rice is bland. Beers are served slightly colder than room temperature ????
Fresh fish , good quality and reasonable prices! Great for dinner on a week night.
They tend to go heavy on the mayo , specify that you want your sushi without! Order a green salad to start. Really fresh fish , delish!
The sushi is so great that you won't even notice the tight quarters and sometimes long wait . Servers are attentive and food comes out fresh and quickly.
Quality sushi meets prime people watching on Irving Place
Bomb lunch special $15 for a shit ton of sushi (sashimi , nigiri , and maki ) and a vat of spicy mayo . I'm down
Get the sashimi no shellfish - great deal for $26 and very fresh
Best value in the area.
The Hamachi Carpaccio special app is incredible. And $7 32oz Asahi beers !
the nameko soup is excellent. try the avocado cucumber rolls, regular cut!
Mango salmon roll , jalapeño crab crisp, crispy tuna rice
Everything is amazing. My usual order is the spicy tuna roll , the #2, and the #7.
Fantastic. Great presentation and modest prices.
Excellent sushi . Pretty much everything here is solid.
Everything is great!! Beef teriyaki was delicious and sushi was very fresh. Pieces are big
Sashimi is nice and thin, but big. Prob one of the better places that I've had sashimi at.
Hands down, some of the freshest fish I've ever had. Salmon sashimi is a must.
This is a hidden gem . The spicy mayo will change your life.
Good sushi ! Special rolls have big portion .
Although fish is fresh, the rice is so mushy you can barely taste it. Place is hard to spot but location is cozy .
Got a Sushigasm from toro tartar and spicy tuna inside out roll
The lunch bento is perfect and so delish.
Excellent Uni (urchin ) here, and they're very honest about when it's fresh and worth getting.
Sushi zen box for lunch is the move.
Best sushi in the city . Spicey tuna/yellowtail is delicious. Slightly pricey but worth it. Rolls are quite sizable; service is good.
best lunch special in nyc = sushi zen box here for $14.95
Biggest pieces of sushi I've ever seen. Like double the size of this emoji: ????
Best sushi in town . The spicy mayo is outstanding; ask for a side of it for dipping .
The sea eel is amazing and melts in your mouth. Also, the special rolls are quite large!
Vegetarians , you can ask them to make a sweet potato tempura roll with avocado .
They’ve given up and don’t care. I was served absolutely foul uni that was like raw sewage. I urged the sushi chef to taste it because it could get people sick, but he shrugged and ignored me.
Order Sushi #5. So good
Get the zen box! great value for lunch
Rolls and special nigiri! Especially, Salmon and seared tomaro roll is my favorite. Don't bother with your usual order and Let the chef bring out their special sushi - Levent Akgerman
Usually pretty busy on big releases but a nice theater non the less - N Martin
Great venue. Have been going here for ever and never had an issue getting close. Sound is also pretty great compared to other nyc venues. - Melissa Rosenthal
The eggs Benedict and French toast are a delight here. Also, $11.95 for a brunch entrée plus coffee or tea is a great deal! - Honghui Yu
