Fill your tummy up with many varieties of Dim Sum served in a more traditional style where they allow you to see before you ask for it coz they push the freshly cooked Dim Sum around in push carts
With decor and staff uniforms reminiscent of a 1980's Hong Kong triad film , Red Star is one of Singapore's best known dim sum restaurants . A little overrated, it still deliver good Cantonese cuisine .
Perhaps the oldest dim sum restaurant in Singapore, Red Star has a family run feel, and really good food. Expect to wait for tables on a weekend.
You don't have to overstuff yourself. Push-cart service or you can order from the menu. Good food & top it off with good, friendly service .
Old school place reminiscent of old times wedding dinners and dimsum place. Try the Chee Cheong Fun . Thin and smooth skin and flavourful.
One of my favourite place for dimsum . Must order: durian crepe , liu sha bao (salted egg custard bao ), chicken feet , pork ribs and egg tart !
Not the best dim sum but the best vibe of having one in town . Upon entrance, turn right and along the row of chairs is the que to bring you to reception where someone will seat you.
Food was normal. There was a lot of filling in the liu sa bao . Chicken banana not bad. The duck with seafood below dish nice. Come early. Crowded after 10am..
Very traditional Dim Sum place. Very crowded but it is worth the wait.
Oldest dim sum restaurant . Very old sch feel! Always wanted to come but long queue. We managed to come During HA2 and only allow 2pax to dine in.
This is place is my all time favorite dim sum !! Open at 6am daily !
Love the dim sum here, but hate how some people stall the dim sum trolleys as soon as they come out of the kitchen. Wait your turn please. We are hungry too!
Nice and yummy food. But too crowded . However the queue is quite fast and they also have food and fast service .
Dim sum is really delicious. That's why it's still around after so many decades.
The only authentic canton dim sum restaurant . Best in town and Singapore.
Red Star is a tradition n a history. Not all selection r fantastic, but a generally gd place for old time's sake n family bonding.. Yum cha and sek dim sum , best family moments :)
The best dish is the fish head! It's unique and extremely tasty!
The clay pot fish head is a must try for dinner
The good to place if you want traditional push cart dim sum .
The authentic yum cha experience: queue for an hour to get in, order your dim sum from push carts, well worth the wait! The service staff treat you like an old friend.
Traditional push cart Dim Sum that's authentic and good.. Beats all other dim sum eateries hands down...
A decent and affordable dim sum place up in a HDB 🧐 egg tart a bit too sweet.
Great variety of dim sum in authentic traditional chinese restaurant .
Very good traditional Cantonese Dim Sum . Friday morning no crowd can enjoy the food.
For those who love traditional dim sum cuisine, its a must to come here!
The food is very delicious. But you will need a lot of patient and guts to order food.
Great dimsum ! Great traditional ambiance. Priced fairly as well !
Fairly little people around on a Saturday (the day I was here at around 1030), can be quite loud like any Dim Sum Restaurant and people can be quite rude to grab the food from the pushcarts.
The egg tarts are chrispy!
Old-school, dimsum on trolly. :) not many like this left in Singapore I think.
Had dinner here. Portion is good and food is nice. However they overcharge for a glass of plain water at $1/glass.
You MUST try the mango pudding . Been trying mango puddings in different countries and this here is seriously the best!!!!!
Big Bun is da bomb!
$28++ per pax weekday dim sum buffet . Reasonable price. But service wasn't good. Food taste nice. Overall I will recommend this restaurant .
If you are thinking of queuing for some baked Char Siew Buns , you might as well come here for the 叉烧酥 instead..
I would come back here just for the durian crepe !
Dim sum was decent but don't expect the service level to be on par with the quality of the food. Can be crowded on weekends. Best to come before 9.30 am.
Get the shrimp chee cheong fun
Order dim sum from push carts. Quite an experience.
Custard Bun ! Awesome!
Mango sago n mango pudding is below avg... Best food is the fried food... It was so busy that I missed the Chee Chong fun n egg tarts ..
Traditional pushcart dim sum still taste the best!
So hong kong-ish style.. Running after the cart is really one-in-a-lifetime experience.. :))
One of the co founder of Dim Sum in Singapore. Been here since I was young, the food is delicious!!
Food was awesome, many years ago that is, super disappointed with the porridge , instant porridge could taste better! Mango prawn pastry wasn't prawn , was faux crabmeat . Liusabao was plain bad. Badbad!
Must go take the Chee cheong fun yourself as the auntie only push her trolley within a small area
Durian pudding n mango puding with longan on top super niceeeee
They push hard for their 鱼卖 but it's no big deal. The better selection are 排骨, 鲜竹卷。
Overpriced and overrated dimsum . Not as good as it used to be. Only prefer prawn fritters , hargao and cha siew bao .
Lovely staff and cool looking place but the dim sum was so bad, I had to go somewhere else to get my fix. Only recommend it if your a foreigner.
Love xo carrot cake, fresh chicken with rosy wine, hk milk tea, Siew Mai etc - Sijie Goh
Nice dim sum (better than the one at Jln Besar) and opens late too! - Saudade
Must orders: 小笼包, Red Bean pancake, Mee Sua Kueh & Custard Pao! - Fey C.
COME TRY DIAN XIAO ER'S HERBAL ROASTED CRISPY SKIN DUCK AND A VARIETY OF OTHER DISHED INCLUDING FRIED COD FISH. U WILL NOT REGRET IT - Janson Tan
Surprising lots of things to buy from OG, for the young somemore. :) - Ryan Kwa
