Since its refurbishment in December 2008 The Adelaide has been converted into a modern 'gastro' pub, complete with open kitchen and dining room to the rear where an impressive feature chandelier sets the tone and is accentuated by wood panelling, a domed fire place and retro wallpaper.

The food is really, pleasingly tasty. Smiley service and a relaxed atmosphere make this a genuinely great dinner venue
Very decent Sunday roast . Massive Yorkshire pudding . Just need condiments on the tables rather than a tub by the bar .
The chilli prawns are excellent. They do come very hot and you have to wait for it to cool, but the sauce can be dipped with the bread . Really, really good.
You can get 20% off food if you're going to Bush Hall after. Say before you order and show your ticket. Worked for us last night.
There's a book exchange hidden in the corner of the bar
The mussels are great, worth a try.
Avoid eh roast beef . Tough. Potatoes were reheated. Best bit was the horseradish cream

Do not order the bavette steak . Stewing beef should never be dressed up as steak . You will chew till it hurts
