A village-size museum of Americana, the collection comprises a chateau with 175 period rooms; a museum holding 85,000 objects and a naturalistic 60-acre garden .

Enchanted woods children's garden is fantastic for kids 18 months and older. Also really enjoyed the Crown exhibit and the follies around the garden .

A great collection by H.F. du Pont with some interesting furniture pieces he accumulated over twenty years. The Downton Abbey exhibit was interesting even though I know nothing about the show.

Gorgeous grounds! Exquisite decor in Winterthur. The Downton Abbey exhibit is a must see. You can skip the lunch at the restaurant ...very blah/bland.

You can definitely spend an entire weekend here - wandering the grounds alone is wonderful. Most definitely a seasonal visit is required!!!

If you plan on visiting as a family more than once a year, get the family membership, it has some nice perks!

The Christmas decor is gorgeous. Sometimes the entertainment.com coupon book has a discount coupon. They also have a childrens' garden which I haven't seen yet.

The Yuletide tour is wonderful.
