Beautiful museum , entrance is 110dkk (85dkk if you're under 30) closed on Mondays! Remember to pick up a map, so you don't get lost. A must to visit while in Copenhagen.
Childrens workshop is Amazing(!) option for kids from 3 years old. There is the painting area and the creation, drawing and making area. Additional ticket only 30 DDK
Museum for Art . Great location, close other touristic attractions and lakes . There is always exhibit or concert . The garden behind is great for picnic in the good weather. Easily accesible by bus .
My favorite museum in Copenhagen. Not only are there great art pieces from early middle ages up to modern era, but the building is beautiful, including a lovely cafe and seating area facing the park .
Very interesting architecture , a vast collection of art from various traditions and both Danish and European art . Great café as well and clean toilettes
Loved this museum . Not only for its good selection of Nordic and European art , but also for its care for toddlers & disabled. Step-free access throughout, impressive art , lovely interior design .
The best museum in town !
We had a great time with the kids here. The kids workshop is 45 DKK and we spent a good four hours painting and crafting. The staff speaks English, German and apparently also Danish .
Each section has a map with a guided chronological tour with highlights. It's in a stand outside each section but in Danish ; ask at information for English.
One of the most interesting museum I Have ever been. Keep 4 hrs for visiting, remember Guest! :)
Lovely place, quite bigbut smaller than the Louvre. 110dkk for the entrance. Dobt forget to take a map just next to the door of the exhibit . Otherway you will get lost.
Great building, modern architecture , great exhibitions and very good choice of artworks
Just lovely, set in beautiful surrounding and there is free children's workshops, a great cafe , free cloakroom and wifi !
In 2017 some of the exhibition rooms will be temporarily closed for specific periods of time due to renovations. When I visited the modern art wing was reduced to a small selection. Check the website.
Also known as the National Gallery of Denmark, this place is where you'll enjoy three great collections (Painting and Sculpture , Graphic Art , and Plaster Cast). Closed on Mondays.
If you're short on time/money, skip the paid exhibition . The permanent collection has a great enough collection for a half day
Fantastic architecture . I love the work they have done with the extension and the connection to the park .
Incredible art here-best of all, from lesser known, albeit influential Danish and German artists .
A lot of paintings , most notably from the Danish Golden Age, plus a lot of works of art in All formes and shapes
Good collection of Danish and international modern art , however, few things that could be breath taking.
Huge museum . Lots to take in. Go during the week and you may just have the place to yourself!
I like it. It's a bit expensive though. At least if you're a Swede.
Very cozy museum with free entrance, exept for special exebitions and childrens workshop . The cafes are very expensive , so don't get thristy.
Homage to Danish artists & strong collections of European works
Beautiful art museum - go here to explore contemporary art & fun activities
Great collection of paintings by Nordic painters
Really awesome modern art wing where you can spend three hours or so.
Awesome collection. Check out the café while you are herr
Interesting stuff, and some creepy stuff as well . The hospital room was quite the scare... I guess I’m just not a fan of the X-room..
Pretty static gallery of Danish and world art from prehistoric times to post modern era.
Great collection of French Art with rooms dedicated to Matisse and Modigliani.
Great sunday brunch with many homemade , seasonal selections and a nice view .
Nice place to spend a lazy afternoon as an escape from the lousy copenhagen weather.
I recommend allotting at least 2-3 hours for this incredible collection
Best place to get an idea about Danish painting through history.
Enjoyed the recent French paintings especially the Matisse selection.
The children's art workshop is definitely worth to visit😉
This place is huge! So much to see! I had to do it in two trips.
Bridging the old and new takes on another level.
couches in the lobby are soooo cozy
Free admission !
I did enjoy most of the time.
Remember your iPhone or Android device for the Toulouse Lautrec Exebition . Too much information? Throw away the pamflet and stay with your device...
Look out for free concerts at weekends - they are fantastic
Ask for an iPod: complementary music to accompany certain Danish/Nordic art pieces.
It's not free on Sundays if you are over 25.
Great changing exhibitions !
Nice place with many Danish works
Watch out for the free concerts - fantastic!!
No longer free as of June 1, 2016
