I was a bit weary of Ethiopian food until a friend told me I had to try it. Eating with my hands at a restaurant was a bit out of my norm, but I must say the food was really tasty!
Waitresses are fantastic. The combination dishes are perfect to share. The injera is a bit too sour for my palate, although it soaks the flavors and juices of the food well as it is designed.
the 2nd cheapest food on the block. Very friendly to non-ethiopians and easier to navigate menu.big portions, yummy food and at times can be busy with a variety of types - so very first-timer friendly
The decor is top notch and the honey wine in lil flagons, but in all honestly I prefer the food at lalibela down the street
Service here is good. I had the vegetarian plate , and there was quite a good amount of food, which was tasty satisfying.
If you're gluten-free call the day before to get the teff-only injera (they will charge extra). Otherwise you can ask for lettuce leaves and tip well !
Get the water, it's really cold and refreshing. Its an excellent choice for minors such as my self.
If you're gluten-sensitive, call ahead of time and they can make sure to have teff-only injera ! If you can call the day before, even better
Good food.. great service.. different experience..
Try the side order of tomato fit fit. Love it and do try the Gursha ;)
The traditional honey wine known as Tej is home brewed here and well worth it.
Food here can be made vegan if you ask for it.
Try the Super Messob Exclusive if you don't know what to get -- it's a little bit of everything
The honey wine is delicious. Try the awaze tibs with collard greens on the side.
The Kitffo and veggie platter is amazing! Live me some spongy bread !
Super Messob platter with extra vegetables ...Mmmmmm...
I'm in luck! Top Chef Marcus Samuelsson is dining here as we speak!!!
Get the combo platter. Everything is tasty and the manager is very friendly !
The service was pleasant and fast. The food wasn't bad, but wasn't great either (the lamb was tough and the spices subdued).
The honey wine is amazing...
Get the Awaze Tibs, Yemiser Wot, and Yatakilt Alitcha. I recommend the Ethiopian beer as well !
Ordered the #4 beef dish raw... first (and last) time for everything... the flat bread is amazing though!
Their honey wine is served in small beakers! I prefer the vegetarian dishes over the meat.
Try the honey wine
Don't bother- any other spot in the area is better.
saw danny devito at this place.
Get the vegetarian combo as your meal base, plus another dish for every 1-2 people. The tofu tibs is amazing. - Swoozy Clancey
Stumbled across this place. Great ambience and many people which is a good sign! Trying meat combo for two! - Anthony Cerche
Order the beef with jalapeños ( no oil) or the whole fish. Veggie sampler is also a must. - Andrew S
The cheesecake factory is amazing! Such a lot of choice on their menu! - Régis Chan-Haumani
Super touristy but worth it (come during weekdays to avoid the crowds) - Roger Ma
Matcha Affogato is what green tea ice cream wishes it could be. - Devin
