Good fries and Italian beef ! Quite an experience! Got a big al with spicy peppers , provolone and dipped on beef juice . Friendly staff . Great spot

Visitors, make sure to try it "Chicago style " with hot and sweet peppers and dipped ! Messy, but yummy!

Portillo’s makes a substantially better Italian beef (sorry, it’s true) but Al’s has much better chili than Portillo’s , as it doesn’t have beans. Make sure you get it deluxe (with onions and cheese ).

Although not the most inviting of places, the food is definitely worth going for! Ask for Chicago way.

There is nothing SPECIAL. But beef is good.

The beef is amazing. Forget Portillos . The peppers are softer not so pickled . The bread is superb after they dip it. Al's wins the beef contest hands down
