Suzume serves up "spicy butter wings " with a ginger yogurt . These reference the Frank's Red Hot sauce and butter of the classic wing , while evoking points distinctly further east. Six wing for $8. Read more
Grilled Salmon Ramen : This soup works, mainly by not being too fussy, so that the salmon can shine next to the wavy, wobbly noodles , further flavored with scallions and kelp. Read more
Start with warm spam musubi , the full sampling of tacos (yes, all 3), then a bowl of ramen . Both ramen options have a slight kick, I prefer the salmon - milky kombu broth that tingles with spice
Delicious ramen and other Japanese dishes in a super cozy and trendy space. The vegetarian scallion noodles were great and a warm temperature rather than chilled, which I liked!
Suzume is a small, nicer, Japanese-Hawaiian restaurant in Williamsburg. The poke here is basically served in sushi form. You can order a wide variety of food from spam musubis to roasted salmon ramen ! Read more
Go for the roasted salmon ramen with a poached egg . Salmon was cooked well and the noodles were delicious. Enjoyed the thickness of the broth. Get the fish tacos for a quick appetizer to share.
I’m going to sound crazy for a moment, this veggie ramen was amazing! I love ramen , but also am not the biggest of meat eaters. I had my doubts, but they really delivered.
A cozy ramen / sushi spot in an area w/ not much competition in those categories. And they nail it. Go before 8pm. It'll get busy after that. Order the Yao Yao Ramen . And the warm sake . Duh.
New. Ambiance? Simple & chic with lots and lots of dark wood. Food? Roasted Salmon Ramen (Spicy Miso Dashi, Wakame (here it is - http://goo.gl/93uKW), scallion ) tasty & perfect on a cold winter night Read more
Sushi , taco , ramen and cocktails ! Casual cool intimate vibe. Sushi is tasteful and affordable , cocktails are great. All menu items are done with care. I'm a regular.
My new favorite ramen joint! Both the YaoYao and the Roasted Salmon ramen are out-of-this-world good. P.S. The tacos are made of wonton shells!
Small and intimate sushi & raman place. Very pleasantly surprised by their Yao Yao Ramen - a new spin on traditional tonkatsu raman. Once you try it, you’ll want to go back!
Another East Williamsburg favorite. I switch between the rice bowl , the ramen , and the ginger scallion noodle . All are v tasty. Wash it all down with an Asahi or champagne of beers .
The ginger scallion noodles are delicious, and refreshing when it's warm outside. Get a poached egg on top and mix it well .
Great food and friendly staff ! Very nice atmosphere and quite hip . No beer on tap . Quite small and often full, so beware. Cool seating for 2: By sushi chef , watch him do his thing.
Had the tuna poke & spicy scallop sushi + the taco trio. All were SO fresh, savory, and ridiculously delicious! Lovely ambiance too. Super friendly staff . Great spot all around!
Beautiful traditional Japanese vibe. Good flavors. Not a noodle shop , more of an izakaya fusion. Wings taste good but not crispy . Pork taco was lovely traditional Japanese braise + al pastor wink.
Cozy and dark place that serves fun cocktails , sushi , and ramen . Try the tuna poké sushi , spicy crunchy tuna roll , YaoYao ramen , and chicken katsu rice bowl .
The salmon ramen 's broth is too fishy for my taste; YaoYao's is thicker, has a unique flavor. Nice noodles . Get the poached egg . There is matcha green tea not on the menu . Fish tacos were my fave.
For those who live in the area and see their lives as ramen-less lately, this is the perfect spot to chow down on noodles without having to worry about the L train being too packed on the way home.
The Yao Yao Ramen is one of my favorites ever! It's got perfectly chewy noodles in a rich broth with super tender pork , scallions , wok-charred baby bok choy and sesame oil . Addictive!
First of all, the service is A+. It's cozy and delicious. Bok choy salad I could eat every day and the pear creme brulee is to die for ????????????
Best spot in all of Wburg for ramen and sushi . Cozy small room, awesome staff . I dream of the seasonal pea shoot salad . Also nice place to come solo and eat at the bar .
Exactly what bburg needed. A brilliant ramen joint (the pork broth is amazing) w/some of the most excellent sushi I've had in nyc. The scallop sushi was so heavenly that we had a piece as dessert .
The Hawaiian Fried Chicken Rice Bowl is a pretty amazing dish not to be overlooked.
Pretty eclectic mix - sushi , ramen & tacos ! Small space, nice vibe tho. Good negronis . Tacos were decent, I'll be back to try the Ramen .
Super cozy . Excellent fir love birds. Small but eclectic menu . Have some sushi & IPA and then move on...
Start with Pork Belly Bao , finish with some Yao Yao Ramen ????
Do the spicy tuna roll and veggie ramen with poached egg . I honestly preferred the veggie ramen over the salmon one.
The yao yao ramen and chicken wings are an absolute must try! So delicious. Cash only ????
Cute date spot . Ramen was flavorful and different. Egg poached instead of soft boiled. Would go back if I was in area
Order ANY of their bowls.(this includes ramen , noodle bowls & rice bowls ). You won’t be disappointed!
The salmon ramen was very tasty. We also got some of the rolls to start including the spam roll. Super tasty, great hidden gem .
The salmon avocado roll was one of the best rolls I've ever had! The spicy tuna poke is also ????????
Not overly impressed with the salmon ramen - though my companion thoroughly enjoyed his YaoYao (pork ) choice- with chili on the side.
Favorite Ramen in NY. Yao Yao with Crispy Pork Belly and (sometimes) poached egg .
Spam musabi was good and loved the pork ramen . Definitely do yourself a favor and get the Asahi tallboy!
The taco sampler was a great way to try all the tacos , but we learned soon that the pork was the best. Also the YaoYao ramen was delicious!
The yaoyao ramen with egg + healthy dose of hot sauce is delicious! One of my top 5 favorite ramens in NY
Really interesting flavor palette for ramen . Almost coconut brothy. Chefs cooking background is influenced by Hawaiian food
Every single thing is good here. NOW OPEN FOR LUNCH ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY yoa yoa ramen , chicken tacos , Hawaiian fried chicken bowl great
The YaoYao ramen w/ poached egg is one of the best bowls of ramen I've ever had. First timers should definitely go for it.
Fish tacos , spicy salmon & avocado , spicy tuna with fried potato rolls were all amazing, def my new favorite Asian fusion spot in the 'hood
Scallop sashimi + roasted salmon ramen + bottle of Shiner = All kinds of win. Go drink at the new Blind Barber across the road while you wait.
Excellent Ramen and Hawaiian dishes, responsibly sourced ingredients, fantastic value for money . Plus the music is awesome.
It's a small place so there is often a wait at peak hours but it's really good. Try coming a bit early or late.
One of the best bloody mary's around. Add in some ginger scallion noodles with tofu for a great hangover cure
Salmon ramen is amazing! The filet is slightly rare in the middle, making it perfect.
Really good fresh sushi (I tried the salmon & tuna poke ). Yao Yao Ramen was bangin! Rich garlicky goodness!
Ramen is pretty good and unique, sushi is very good and fresh; all ingredients are locally sourced and fresh
Very good Ramen place in Williamsburg. I had the Chashu with egg and really enjoyed it. - Gabriel Hayes
Tantanmen and shoyu ramen are delicious. Great staff and neighborhood vibe. - Ezra Pollard
Great fish-based ramen, and specialty mazemen (ramen without broth). Serves traditional Japanese breakfast in the morning (as Okonomi). - Pio Rasch-Halvorsen
Great beer selection plus classic arcade games, what else could you ask for - Edgar Gutierrez
Top notch gelato and cookies. Try the Stracciatella and a biscotti with espresso for dipping if you have room. - Abigail Koffler
Try the Oatmeal Creme Pie Soft Serve - Very good, maybe the best one in the current rotation of flavors - Mike Chau
