Major nostalgia rush to see the king, took me back to old hawaii 50 days. But the history of the palace and its king has much deeper meaning. See them both, king and palace .
From Waikiki in about 90mins walking distance. On foot you also have the opportunity to better explore the other historic buildings and the Aloha Tower.
Worth checking out. Do a little research before you visit to understand the importance of this man and the statue .

When you see tour buses stopping by, hurry up and take your picture! You might have to wait a while to have an intimate shot with the King.
Visit the statue on King Kamehameha Day, a Hawaii State holiday. The statue is adorned with giant sized flower leis in honor of the king.
