Take the boat tour to the memorial. Remember to get there early in the morning to get tickets, especially if you have a large group. They are free but you need them to go

I missed this visit my 1st time in Oahu so made a special trip my 2nd. For how much impact this had on our nation's history, it's suiting to have such a beautiful tribute built for the fallen.

They have 2000 tickets a day. If you look online and they say sold out, still go cuz they hold 2000 tickets for walk ups. It's worth it to get up and be in line at 7am.

The Arizona Memorial is a must, but don't miss going inside the USS Bowfin , a submarine used in WW II. There's the Battleship Missouri and the Pacific Aviation Museum too! http://bit.ly/bCbASL

If you don't want pricey , ripped-off hotdogs for lunch at the USS Bowfin Museum 's food court , then hop on the free shuttle to the Pacific Aviation Museum at Ford Island , they have a full restaurant !

This place is so beautiful, it's hard to believe and picture what happened here on that infamous day, Dec 7, 1941. A good place to reflect and honor out armed forces for the sacrifices they have made.

It was very emotional to stand where so many lives fell, God bless everyone of them. (purchase the audio tour , it provides so much more insight than just reading the captions on display)

The tour with the show is free and so is the boat ride . I would definitely do them as you get to see the USS Arizona memorial. It was closed due to construction so the boat took us around to see it

Pearl Harbor was really an amazing site to see. I highly recommend this if you are in Oahu. I am not a huge history buff, however, I found it to be so educational and interesting. Very touching

Tickets for the USS Arizona not hard to get but you just need to know when/how to get them. arrive early for 7am same day tickets or reserve tickets online for the following day at 7am

If you visit Hawaii you have to come here just for the history of the place. Sobering and enlightening it really makes you think about what has past and what may be to come. RIP to all who died.

if you were too late and didn't get tickets for uss Arizona you can do stand by. just wait by where you would enter for the uss Arizona memorial and if there's extra room they'll let you in!

Emotional. It’s a wonderful and thoughtful way to remember this day and all the people who lost their life’s. Sadly the USS Arizona Memorial was closed for maintenance.

An altogether incredibly interesting and also very sobering experience. Get there early (especially if you didn't reserve your memorial ticket ahead of time) and avoid the large tour groups.

Buy a flag in the gift shop , then have it flown (by a park ranger) above the memorial in honor of a family serviceman. Return the form to the gift shop and they'll send you a certificate.

Arrive early to see the Arizona Memorial. It's free and small, so fills up quickly (we arrived at 9am and got tickets for 12:45). Don't want to wait? Go see 1 of the 3 paying sites: there's no line !

Please be respectful . This is a shrine and final resting place for over a thousand serviceman that did not survive the attack. Also, several survivors ashes have been entered back into the battleship.

Must visit. Movie is very informational and worth it. I would suggest reserving tickets online for 3 bucks (at least 24 hours in advance).

Get tickets to visit the USS Arizona Memorial before anything else. While you wait for your ferry ride to the Memorial, visit the USS Missouri and the USS Bowfin Submarine .

Best tactile maps I've ever seen to serve visitors who have sight issues. All of the park employees are friendly and helpful, too. Excellent experience here.

Beautiful place full of history. Military gets some great deals. Just know, it's still ridiculously expensive . You'll easily spend 50 bucks.

Go EARLY to get your tickets. I got tickets for the 12:15 ferry and it was cancelled because of increased winds. Definitely disappointed because of that. Better to go early to get earlier spots.

Quite long queues already in the early morning. Do not take bags or backpacks with you, because they must be handed in forehand and kept for money. The line 20 goes for small money in an hour there.

A must-visit in Hawaii. Tickets are hard to get so come early in the morning and get ready to queue for 30-40min.

Beautiful even though we couldn't get on the memorial since it was down for repairs.

They will give you a plastic bag for the baby's stuff..you can buy a nicer bag inside the harbor..you can bring it anywhere in the harbor .

Get a passport pass online..and when your there you need to check in all your bags including purses it is not allowed inside the pearl harbor..

Road to War and US Arizona memorial museum are free. Boat ticket is gone fast, you should get it first at info center. The rest you have to pay. There is special rate for local/military too.

When touring the Bowfin Submarine the 200 numbers on the audio tour are the family version. Highly recommend it, even for adults! Still found it very informative

The memorial is beautiful and sad. I didn't realize that survivors could choose to be buried with their shipmates. Very moving.

Pay the $7 for the audio tour headset. It's totally worth it and includes recorded stories from survivors along with the history.

Due to sequestration cuts effective 06MARCH2013 the Pearl Harbor Historic Sites hours are affected as listed in photo.

Be sure to go early as the tickets are tough to get. The $7.50 for the audio tour is worth the price. You listen to interviews with witnesses and officials.
