The first quality coffee shop in the area, Cafe Grumpy brings their quality coffee roasting, consistent coffee preparation & stellar baked goods to the Garment District. Seating but no wifi .

Fifth outpost of this Greenpoint roaster offers lots of seating and homemade pastries , but no computers are allowed.

Love their mochas and flat white . Just like their other shops, no laptops allowed. Tables are all communal at this location if that matters to you.

Our new fav place in the City . Perfect flat white ! The barista was really friendly and funny :) wonderful music playing in the background was just the icing on the cake . Go there!

No laptops allowed and no outlet plugs, but feel free to snag a spot near the window and hang out with your book/kindle/phone. Super nice baristas!

Central place to meet. Tables seat 20, plus bench by the window. Coffee and pastries are excellent. Queuing is awkward but is also a testament to how busy it got so quickly.

Mornings get hectic, as the shop is pretty small, but they move quickly! The iced coffee is divine! Highly recommended.

Iced mocha is really good. But watch out for grumpy baristas . They also dont allow you to use laptops even when theres no one at the cafe .

If you come early ~8am, there's a pastry tasting. Just enough bite to sweeten your espresso .

the other spot in chelsea is a bit more homey but this spot has a cool collaborative study space .
