[Fika] There are six Joe now, from West Village to Harlem, but this is our favorite. Outside on the bench is best, just watching life walk by; inside with a coffee and a book/friend isn't bad either.

Zach Maier

If you're a size queen (when it comes to your Joe), just go for the large black drip. You'll need two hands for that monstrosity. The "large" yuppie espresso drinks are short and stubby in comparison.

New York Habitat

One of the best places to go for a simple, strong, tasty coffee . If you come often, get the frequent buyer card so you get your 11th drink free! Also take note that it is cash only !

Jon Kurland

The best espresso drinks in New York - strong, smooth, chocolatey and irresistible. Settle in with a cappuccino , and a perfect croissant or muffin , and enjoy the great tunes and Village ambiance

There are six Joe now, from West Village to Harlem, but this is still our favorite. Outside on the bench is best, just watching life walk by; inside with a coffee and a book/friend isn't bad either.

Alexandros Plexidas

Chai latte and cappuccino were good but I mostly like this place for the nice small terrace in the front. Really enjoyed sitting there and see the people passing by 😀

Tom Coates

Great coffee and pastries and a nice environment. General food selection fairly limited though. Place for a snack but not a meal.

Simon H

A good quality coffee , nice tunes and artwork on the walls. Try stumptown coffee for a good alternative on 8th st.

Lauren Mac

West village neighborhood favorite with a line (that moves fast). Very good cappuccino and inviting wooden seating, if you come early.

Noah Weiss

This is the Barry Bonds in '01 of iced lattes . It's taking delicious espresso steroids and unfair to the weaker competitors.

Justin McKissick

Variety of coffees to choose from, rotating selection. Great space to meet up with friends but no Wi-fi.

Andrew Choi

Grab an espresso and relax on one of the benches outside . Read a good book or watch W. Village locals stroll by.

Phabi

Amazing! Just had the small vanilla latte . To Die For! Haven't had such a good coffee in a while. Also try the salted peanut butter cookies , very good too!

David Johnson

Had a flavored latte . Was a little pricey , but quite good. Very small and cozy with friendly staff

Joseph Fisher

Best coffee in the city . Especially the drip and lattes . Being going here for 10 years and always take out of town guests here.

If you're fixin to find romance at a classy (cash only !) cafe on a cute corner in the West Village — you'll be glad to know: I just witnessed this btwn Purple Pabtaloons & a Chuck-rockin foreign chick

Valerie Seckler

Top notch microbrews+longish lines mark Joe The Art of Coffee , which sits on a coffee fault line 3 avenues west of Oren's Waverly Pl. shop. Relax at the handful of tables w/Joe's offer of newspapers.

jessica m. hintermeister

best part about Joe is that the baristas are without question #1 in nyc but don't take themselves too seriously. bonus? it actually means something to be a regular here which is hard to find anymore.

Sameepa Shetty

Try the Americano Misto or Cortada. Small but has a community table for a bigger group. This isn't a meeting place but a place to come a savor a great cuppa Joe.

Laura Black

High-octane, flavorful coffee for those who like a good roast and a strong brew. Love the small-shop ambience.

Chad Horner

super-friendly staff and Underwest Donuts . a cozy neighborhood shop

Kelsey✨

cozy cafe , great for people watching & getting some work done (there’s wifi & a few charging outlets)

Charlottes

Very happy to have this as our new local cafe . Nice strong cappuccinos and yummy scones and cookies .

Tina Wong

This location & company started my love for expertly made coffee (that's almost a decade ago). Though there's changes of the beans, etc., it's still my go-to spot for coffee .

Kate Willsky

Pricey but really good coffee . Small space but there’s always somewhere to sit and it’s very pleasant. Celebs sometimes

Lazarus Pants

Lattes here are so good, I nearly drank the entire thing before I remembered to snap a photo!

Food & Wine

Jonathan Rubinstein's espresso shop in the West Village has been a hit ever since it opened in 2002. Rubinstein recently switched to beans from Ecco Caffe, a boutique Sonoma roaster.

Kimmie Ohh

Kind of pricey but they have amazing coffee ! They serve Underwest donuts too!

Thomas Mo

A classic NY joint. Great coffee , great price, great staff . Reliable for that cup of joe every morning.

Lily Z

Lovely baristas, cozy vibe, no wifi

Ben Leonard

Tip your barista. You should be doing it anyway, but sometimes they'll give you an extra punch on your card!

Tom M.

Best latte's in town

Emily Willen

Prices on board already include tax. Great coffee , plus hormone - free milk . No bathroom .

Luke

Shockingly relaxed atmosphere with shockingly strong coffee . Win, win!

Karen

Great little coffee shop with a bathroom . Friendly employees.

Serious Eats

Good coffee at Joe is a given, but the Manhattan mini-chain specializes in helpful service .

Olivia Arden

Can't go wrong with the blueberry doughnut ! A feast for the eyes & belly.

Tom M.

Be prepared not to get a seat, but be prepared to get the best cappuccino in town--so always get the paper cup

Mike Singleton

Fantastic cold brew , on a hot day get a large with extra ice to stand a chance of it lasting longer

Billy Marks

Super hip crowd, but not much room t sit. Good de a gab'n'go on a weekend before walking in the West Village .

real deal

Late is balanced. Quite busy and loud . Best to drink and go.

Kelly D

Can get pretty busy during peak times, which in this west village location is most of the time, though I've seen it pretty chill in the early week (Monday Tuesday).

Justin Moy

The cold brew iced latte is a good pick me up for hot days

Jorma Lisa

Best coffee in West Village hands down. Served with a smile every time.

PJ Tiberio

One of the best coffeeshops in NYC that I've been to. It's got a great neighborhood vibe and always picks me up with a large iced latte .

Stephanie Streeter

They have started accepting credit cards at all of their locations except grand central!

Massimiliano Pellegrini

a landmark coffe shop. In the summer they have an iced creamy coffee

John A

Flavorful but not burnt tasting coffee .. Try a yummy granola cookie !

Benjamin Lotan

Good stuff here. Those outside benches got to love them. Right by the west 4th street station. Go for it!

Elya
