Wonderful Japanese garden , and if you have little ones, don't miss the splash ground in the children's garden . Great secret summer cool down spot!
The garden 's 40 acres include one of the largest and most diverse perennial gardens on the East Coast and the only classical, domed conservatory open to the public in the mid-Atlantic region.
Great place for sightseeing and seeing all kinds of flora. Visited during the LEGO and butterfly exhibits , enjoyed both as well !
July 4th is traditionally a free day for families, but don't think you're getting near the water area in the kids' garden . Pay admission and have your own space another day.
Everything! Don't miss the tree house and make sure to visit for Dominion Garden Fest of Lights. Friday, Nov. 28, 2014 - Monday, Jan. 12, 2015 (Closed Dec. 24 & 25)

I've only had the opportunity to see Lewis-Ginter during the winter for the garden lights, but it's absolutely breathtaking.
A historic property with 40 acres of spectacular gardens , Lewis Ginter is home to a classic domed Conservatory , the only one of its kind in the mid-Atlantic, housing more than 200 orchids .
Don't leave without visiting the enclosed Butterfly exhibit . Live butterflies swarming around you...beautiful.
It's absolutely gorgeous and educational with great programs for kids. A must see.
Beautiful place to walk, and they really figured out how to make money in the winter with their lights.
Beautifully landscaped gardens , something in bloom year round. Nice place to take a stroll with your someone special.
Be sure to check for tree frogs in the rough horsetail (Equisetum hyemale) in the Children’s Garden .
The Grace Arents Garden , a victorian-style garden , was restored based on its original early-1900s design by the Garden Club of Virginia.
