One way to avoid the crowds at Coogee beach in summer is to go Wylie's. You pay a nominal entry fee but that usually means fewer people go there. Killer views too.
Sigh, they've resorted to paper cups for all tea and coffee ... so flimsy the tea burns your fingers....
A great ocean pool to swim laps, take the kids to snorkel and sunbake.
Coffee available. Comes in a coffee cup. Very civilised.
