The best deep dish pizza in the Bay Area. Everything is delicious, but the classic with spinach , mushrooms , and house spices is a great way to start if it's your first visit.

Zachary’s serves deep dish Chicago-style pizza with vegan crust and Daiya vegan cheese , and vegetarian pies, and will offer vegetarian seasonal specials during Oakland Veg Week, April 15-21, 2012.

The VEGAN deep dish crust is better than the regular! Try it even if you're ordering dairy cheese or meats!

Always always consisten on tasty and unique! The tomato sauce is so rich and juicy! Service is super kind. There is always a wait but they make it very efficient. Meatballs are just ok, but caesar!

Get the deep dish pizza . It's why this place exists - to give those who've lived in Chicago the closest thing to what we had there. If you opt instead for the thin crust , you're doing it wrong.

That was the first time I ate a deep dish pizza and I loved it. They also call it Chicago style pizza . If you don't know it, you should definitely try it.

They can make most of their pizzas vegan . Excellent crust and perfectly done. They have vegan cheese as an extra.

Deep dish pizza . Tomato , cheese and that crust. Yum. Chorizo pizza is to die for 😛👌 I was stuffed after two slices. Worth the wait!

Fucking great pizza . Busy, though, so expect a wait. But you can order your pizza while you wait! And deep dish takes a while to bake anyway, so you don't end up losing that much time.

I know you *think* you like deep dish pizza , but you really like thin crust better. Which means try the place across the street, Jules Pizza .

Once you go to Zachary 's for the deep dish you will never be able to look at "normal" pizza like you used to.. try the chicken bbq , it's amazing!

You can put in your pizza order while you wait for a table. So put in your order and grab a beer ! By the time you get a seat your pizza will be done too. Genius!

Expect to wait, especially on nights/weekends. Spinach & Mushroom (or any deep-dish, skip the thin crust ) is the way to go!

Friendly and warm place. Thin crust pizza disappointing. Definitely go for the deep dish / Chicago style one.

For large parties you can call ahead to see how long the approximate wait is and they will start setting up for you.

Be sure to get a salad if ordering a stuffed pizza , the pizza takes a looooong time (but so worth it). Look for the awesome Thriller-themed art poster.

Haven't been here in years! Though nothing compares to a deep dish back home, Zachary 's definitely makes the best Chicago pie in the SF Bay Area. Order sausage as a topping and find that it's sliced

Stuffed pizza is pretty authentic and so good. I'm pretty sure they spray their pizza smell within a 2 block radius to lure you in.

Zachary 's Pride and Joy, the deep dish spinach and mushroom is the best pizza , ever.

Portions are huge, so order with caution. But service was great, and the food was delicious!

Get there early, order during your wait, and the food will be ready by the time you sit.
