The place to go after a stroll in the weekend market . Typical Viennese cafe with live music in the afternoon. This being Vienna, pastries & desserts are delicious!
This is one of the most special and remarkable places to ever exist. Its old air makes it so mesmerizing, and if you are a cinephile then you'll be even more enchanted by it. Excellent coffee also.
What a beautiful spot, whether you sit inside or out. Admittedly, I came here because it was in the movie , Before Sunrise, but would recommend to all.
The kleiner Brauner (coffee with cream) and a slice of Topfenstrudel (a kind of cheesecake ) were very good. Authentic atmosphere, lovely mix of tourists and locals.
Lovely outdoor seating ! Scrumptious eggs and ham—don’t forget to ask for a few rolls and butter with breakfast .
This is the location used in the film "Before Sunrise" (1995) with Ethan Hawke and Julie Deply. You can sit to the exact same booth where Jesse and Celine have their "telephone game". (see photo)
Good one for moviegoers! We all know the place especially from the movie Before Sunrise. Besides, it has a lovely interior design , with really kind staff . Try their coffee and the club sandwich .
Amazing place! Nice, vintage and quiet . Great food variety. Staff is friendly and helpful. Favorite place in Vienna.
Authentic cafe with great selection of coffee drinks and breakfast food . Austrian artists used to visit it quite often.
Very old (since 1880) and authentic Viennese coffee was supposedly one of Adolf Hitler's favorite cafes when he was a student in Vienna prior to WW I
Place with a nice atmosphere and tasty Strudel . Really affordable prices and good service !
House desert (forgot the name) is nice, but not great. Overall cafe Centrale is better in every way if you are looking for some authentic Wien cafe .
Great traditional coffee - Classic Viennese cafe , recommend by a local friend of mine. Did not disappoint and had an English description of each coffee which was great.
A go-to spot for the city ’s literati, Café Sperl has intimate , velvet-lined booths and is the ideal place to linger over the newspaper and a piece of Sacher torte .
Viennese Classic. Apfelstrudel is the best ( be aware, it's cold but awesome). Outstanding coffee . No Russians.
One of the nicest coffee houses in Vienna . Good coffee , cakes and free Wifi but also a bit of history, it is rumoured that Adolf Hitler hanged around here when he was a struggling artist .
Delicious sweets and good coffee .It isn’t so crowded such as the others traditional Viennese cafes
Traditional Viennese cafe . I had the schnitzel which was delicious! Side salad was ok. Really cozy cafe .
You can enjoy good music played by the pianist and have delicious desserts with coffee . 9,5/10
love the place, still very authentic and vivid, a choice of press is impressive
Very cool place to enjoy your daily coffee/tea/cake (sperlschnitte) or just read newspapera or meet friends. Traditional kind of viennese cafe
One of the typical authentic Viennese coffeehouses . They've some specials as dishes, worth to check menu for them.
Very old Viennese coffeehouse with a great interior. A must see if you want to the explore the "Wiener Kaffeehaus Kultur".
Historic café , beautiful and cozy . The apfelstrudel was the best I've ever had. The other sweets I tasted were just ok.
Desserts are a must-try! Go for the classics like Sachertorte and Apfelstrudel .
Where time stopped, beautiful atmosphere, typical unhelpful stuff, definitelly a must!:) I prefer coffee and sacher torte in Cafe Hawelka though.
travel back in time and gaze out of Cafè Sperl's huge windows while listening to the pianist playing the classics and drinking Melange
Cozy , delicious food (beef soup , cordon bleu , truffle fries ), very nice and attentive service
Classic Viennese café . Don't believe the waiter if he tells you there's no more Sacher Torte left and tell him to check with the kitchen.
Finest apfelstrudel I have ever eaten! I recommend it :)
Great spot, but if you want a cake , make sure you get in early!
The place is cosy, the food&drinks-great. However, watch out for EXTREMELY rude waitresses who can ruin your great experience with their attitude. It's amazing such people are allowed to serve others!
Kabak çekirdeği yağı ile yapılan omlet ef-sa-ne ???????? omlette with pumpkin seed is amazing
A touch of historical treasure and great coffee !
Really good atmosphere with delicious desserts .
Nice and authentic , delicious pastries , but service could be better and no pin, only cash !
Amazing atmosphere! Great apple pie and coffee !
Traditional cozy Viena's cafe , with no tourists .
Used to love to hang out at this traditional place but it obviously turned into a tourist rip off that make me feel almost ashamed being from here - not my choice
A classic Viennese coffee house . Get their "Grandma coffee "????
Pleasant Viennese cafe . Not all cakes were available when I visited, and service was a little slow. Coffee was good.
Typical Viennese coffeehouse with cosy tables next to the windows. Step-free access.
Sacher Torte is yumm! Much fresher than the one at Cafe Sacher
Best place for breakfast . The place is very quiet and the food is very good. Peace :)
Wonderful breakfast spot , great strudel
The internet says this was one of Hitler's favorite places.
It's a nice and with a traditional look too
Scenes of A Dangerous Method at this café are the best part of the movie ... That says it all for this place. And the film .
Nice environment in a classical Viennese cafe !!!
