Excellent hike in the Smoky Mountains . Muddy and a challenge getting up and down the trails , but worth the effort of the trip! Check the visitor center for the schedule of reconstruction of the trail .
This is a moderate hiking trail but well worth the effort. Cross the finish line of roughly three miles to enjoy Grotto Falls. You can even walk behind this one.
Amazing views on the way up and down while driving, stop and enjoy the nature. The trail itself is great, and completely worth it when you reach the waterfall . You might even see a black bear .
Awesome hike ! The falls are worth the effort. Be careful if it has been raining, the track can be slick in spots especially near the falls .
Drive up to and from the trail is amazing, stop and enjoy the nature. Trail itself is great, and worth it when you reach the waterfall . You might even see a black bear .
The water cools the air temperature dramatically. It's a really cool transition as you hike up.
Nice hike . The drive out is gorgeous, with many places to pull over and take some photos.
Great hike . Moderate difficulty. Took just an hour and a half to do the 2.5 miles even after taking a dip in the 50F water at the grotto in front of the falls
Uphill hike to a wonderful waterfall , worth the trek
Pretty good hike to the falls . Ice cold water .
The booklet says moderate but it is quite strenuous!
The trail goes behind the waterfall !
Great day hike
Watch out for bears .
That's some cold water !
Wide and paved path, but a bit steep for those who aren't in the best shape and a nice lung workout for those who are!!! Beautiful view at the top!! - Kim Keller
Love this place... The hike to Grotto Falls was nice... Just make sure you wear some good hiking shoes. The trail has running water on it slippery rocks along with lots of tree roots. - Edward C
