Sounds easy but it is .5 miles at a 27 degree incline up nonstop but worth the walk at the end. Parking is a little nerve racking there is a small park store and rocks to climb at the bottom Beautiful

Sara

Stunning view . Check weather before going. The earlier in the AM the better. Warning: you'll be walking a steep incline for .5 mi. to get to C.Dome. There is no leveled area. Need sturdy shoes & h2o.

Kim Keller

Wide and paved path, but a bit steep for those who aren't in the best shape and a nice lung workout for those who are!!! Beautiful view at the top!!

Brett Elliott

Short hike but like everyone has said it is fairly steep. Don’t be embarrassed to stop and rest. You certainly will not be the only one doing it. Coming down is much easier of course. High point #16!

Michael Tchou

A short paved walk, though steep, leads to some amazing views from the tower of the surrounding mountains !

John Kraft

Smooth, paved trail , but quite a hike given the rise in elevation & distance in the thinner air of 6,000+ feet. At least some benches along the way. Very windy at top & often socked-in with clouds.

Michael Palmer

Did the hike in the dark. Go on a clear night to see a day full of stars. Trust me it's so worth it. Wear hiking shoes for sure. It is steep.

Rachel Martin

Wear layers. You will get warm walking there but it can be very cold at the top. And if at all possible you should be there for sunset . It is an amazing experience. And wear comfy shoes .

PJ Oschmann

Walk is fairly short but quite steep. Round trip took my 26 minutes but apparently this may be longer for others. Beautiful scenery if you don't mind doing tiny bit of work!

John Buck

Been going here since I was a kid, always worth the drive! Absolutely beautiful! Not to be missed!

Evan Van Orden

The half mile hike to the tower is definitely worth it on a clear day , but skip it on a cloudy/hazy day. The view from the parking area is worth the drive.

If you’re near here, it’s a must see for beauty.

Highlands Condos

Out of this World Views , don;t forget your camera .

RJ

Went here after major October snow (Storm Sandy). Hiked in about 2 ft of snow all the way to the dome. It's rare that this happens since they close on December to March. Really nice!

Emily Porter

Seriously crazy hike !! Was disappointed the overlook is closed til April 2018...but there’s still plenty of good spots to view the sunset .

Denise G

A hike FOR SURE!! Don’t wear uncomfortable shoes OR flip flops! Worth the trek up hill though….

Isaac Solis

Foggy day for me, but still worth it, bring a sweater, hiking/walking shoes , and water. 12% on the 1/2mile climb up.

Kyle Bye

Best place to catch the sunset .

Mandie Caton

It is beautiful, but if you have the physical stamina to hike non-paved trails , I’d spend your time doing that instead.

Denise

Grab a bottle of water before you make the climb . It might be half a mile, but you're going to work for it!

Colin Lord

The hike downhill is almost as challenging as the hike up because it's so steep!

Travis Miller

You definitely want to make the steep trek to the top! Viewing area!

Kyra Kilian

Just do it. Take your time. Stop as much as you need to.

Alice Hillary

Scenic . Take the trails for great sights.

Ashley Grimley

A bit of an incline but worth the view .

Be there before sunrise and watch the world wake up before your very eyes.

It's quite a hike up the hill so wear good shoes .

Beautiful scenery, and the path itself is moderate in difficulty. They close the path from motorists on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 7am-11am, so only cyclists & walkers can pass through. It's great! - Valerie Leek
