Amazing pastries , better than anything I've had in NYC. Maple biscuit and cinnamon bun out of this world, so fluffy and tasty!!

The jalapeño cheddar bread is so good I sometimes consider hiding it from my family.

I love August First but they do NOT have Wifi - actually a good thing!. Have breakfast - the cheddar/chipotle roll, or lunch - e.g. a soup/salad combo, always fresh- or a snack - but not online.

Get the Forester for a delicious and interesting mix of flavors. Also seems like you can’t go wrong with any pastry .

Rockstar sandwiches , delightful coffee and great atmosphere. A+

Coffee bar is so good I keep forgetting to take a picture before I bite into it.

Maple glazed biscuit is next level. Great selection of breads to take home.

We were here for a pre wedding night social. Great venue.

Keep an ear out for the bread delivery via bike . If you're lucky you can get some fresh bread delivered to your house!

I appreciate they were able to make a coffee drink for me special, one that wasn’t on the posted menu.

Kouign amann, pumpkin everything, and a decent cup of coffee

The half sandwich and soup deal is the best option for lunch in town .

Chickpea & Herb bowl was yummy!

Cinnamon rolls and add maple syrup to your coffee

Breakfast sandwiches - try the salmon salad or the chipotle sandwich .

The VT Tofu Salad is an absolute must have—and vegan friendly too!

@augustfirst is myfirst place in the morning! Strong n tasty drip plus a wheat roll to sop up my lunch soup . Nice n bright in there for wifi working too.

Laptop free bakery . Nice place. Nice food.

The egg sandwich is good but it does have hollandaise on it. Kind of a surprise.

Go to August First and grab a coffee and loaf of fresh olive bread . Why? 'Cause it's freakin' awesome!

Vegetarians will love the curry tofu sandwich .

If creamy tomato soup is on the daily special , be sure to get the grill cheese combo.

Don't bother trying to get a sandwich to go at 10:50 a.m. The emo counter chick won't give you one until 11:00.
