Mint tea and magic bar were perfect. The bar is a delicious combo of coconut , chocolate and peanut butter ! Nice seating by the window on a beautiful day for reading and people watching .

Anthony Gomez

Just incredible. Love this place. Great vibe, the menu has so many amazing items, they serve counter culture coffee and the people are great. My new favorite place in DC, hands down.

There's this pizza that has pesto , butternut squash , goat cheese & honey . Not too heavy, fills you up just enough. Weds is 50% off wine bottles, so grab a friend a split a bottle of bubbly for $8/ea.

Cara

New Tryst specials every night of the week, including student specials on Sundays, 50% off bottles of wine on Wednesdays, & a special Tiki menu on Thursdays.

Very hip , trendy cafe-style restaurant with great coffee , excellent healthy food options , and a pretty decent beer selection as well . Wifi is free. Big couches w/ coffee tables or regular tables.

Hip as fuck, but yet to have a bad meal there. Kudos especially to the Thai chicken soup & butternut squash flatbread ! Sandwiches and boozy drinks pretty reliable too.

Jake Frasier

Great environment! Latte was really delicious and the food was good as well . Lots of comfy seating , free wifi , and patio as well . Definitely a spot you could bring a laptop and work for an hour or so!

Design*Sponge

Open when you need it most. Great breakfast selection and pastries . Try the lebneh baguette . If you don't want to be alone go with your laptop (but no wifi during weekends, time to socialize!)

Yasaman Mahdian

Definitely a good cafe for grab a bite or coffee but their drinks and cocktails sucks! It has more of a third wave vibe.

Matt Boggs

Best/coolest coffee shop in dc to hangout in. Has a very eclectic vibe where you could go there on a date, socialize with a group of friends, or just a solo study/work sesh.

AFAR Media

My favorite weeknight study spot . A comfy hideaway in Adams Morgan. The lighting the live band graham crackers next to my warm chai tea & nachos locos on my lap if Im feeling crazy. Alwys on point. Go

Krystal Stanley

A great, relaxed atmosphere . I was pleasantly surprised by the new seating (more sofas ). The coffee and expression drinks are well made and the food is simple but tasty. I <3 this place.

Satyajith Bhat

Great, casual ambiance. You can read a book , chat with friends or get a bite to eat at any time during the day. It's a perfect location for all of these things.

Les T.

This vegan treat is delicious - Description from their menu: CHOCOLATE SILK TOFU TART Oreo crust topped with a "GANACHE" made from tofu and fine bittersweet chocolate liqueur and agave .

Mimi Nguyen

Ask for the lavender hot chocolate with two shots of espresso . You get the delicious hot chocolate balanced with just enough caffeine to get your morning started.

Jen Cerna

I went for Valentine’s Day and their drink specials were delicious. I love the chill and energetic environment. Staff are super friendly .

Jennifer Wang

grace sandwich , masala chai , love that some beverages come with animal crackers , etc. & awesome ambiance - very comfortable with couches , etc. and you get to seat yourself!

Taxi Magic Street Team

Great atmosphere for caffeine fix, bkfast, lunch , drinks... Ok just about everything :) Book a Taxi Magic ride by selecting Tryst as your pickup or around the corner on Mintwood if 18th is bustlin!

Lizzie Hatfield

Delicious sandwiches and great coffee ! The patio is a lovely place to sit on a sunny day and good for people watching . Free wifi too.

Dara Fisher

If you need to "get some work done" this cool coffee house/bar is a nice place to relax and work on your laptop. Crowded in the afternoon, so bring a charged laptop so you won't need an outlet.

Dylan Monteiro

Good place for food, coffee and drinks but if you need wifi make sure to ask if they have it on. Sundays it isn't on until after 4pm and they often turn it off for random "holiday weekends".

Ryan James

If you've come to work, you need to buy something in the first 15 minutes of your visit. But the Internet access is reliable and it has a great atmosphere. One of my favorite places to work.

Josh Higgins

The frozen mochas are perfect for a hot day. And I don't even like cold coffee drinks... but Tryst's are amazing.

Katie Willard

I truly enjoy this place and its atmosphere, but if you’re in a hurry, it’s best to go somewhere else that is less crowded and has faster service. Otherwise, sit back, relax, and enjoy.

Sophia H

Lavender hot chocolate was great. Matcha latte was also delicious but had a weird chalky taste at the top (that was unfortunate). Funky place.

Jordan Barr

Iced latte with an extra shot was on point. Waffles and bananas/strawberries had a great taste. Be prepared to wait a while for food to arrive.

Judson Moore

The atmosphere is amazing and the internet is reliable. If you want your coffee in a paper cup though, you better mention that when you order or else you'll get a "proper" mug.

Omar Masri

The new patio is great for people watching whilst snacking on great food and imbibing on great drinks! Love this place! (Full disclosure: I also work here)

Rahn Sibley

I love the chorizo and cheese quiche . The fruit is very fresh. Good coffee and a very nice bloody Mary

Tyler Tringas

Best spot in DC for freelance work. Couches for laptops, good wifi (only after 5p on weekend), good coffee and food. Even some outlets by the wall.

Ian Bryant-Smith

Great atmosphere, tasty sandwiches , and amazing drinks (with animal crackers !).

Borys Pierov

A place to get a decent lavender latte . Chai latte is... unusual and too sweet but to my surprise I liked it on a cild and windy day.

Grace Lee

Lavender hot chocolate is good. Big space , generally you can find seating, but outlets are limited. No wifi on weekends. Music (hip-hop/rap the couple times I came here) is on the louder side

Trish TheDish

Bomb diggity grilled cheese along with an fabulously delicious kale and quinoa salad . Good beer selection and nice atmosphere. Service is ok. ;/

Ab

Great place to work or meet friends - though group seating's a crap shoot. Great food. Slow service. Go Rodney or Maya!

Tom Maxwell

Unless you're to-go, seat yourself; someone will serve you. My latte was good, but the service was great. Lots of people working on computers. WiFi password right now is bloodymary .

Kaz K.

Happy hour Sun-Fr 4p-7p: $4 wines , beer and a cocktail . Great deal.

Jorge Enrique

Coffee has improved from the last time I came! The bench right next to the entrance is a great spot for ppl watching....

Michael Lucas

You want a chill coffee shop to relax in or get some work done? This is it, this is the place you're looking for in DC.

Karen L.

I like this place. Great cappuccino , not a fan of animal crackers but OK the idea is kinda cool. Good for morning coffee , to work/wifi, relax and the food is good;)

S P

Tea and coffee choices are numerous and delicious! They also play live music at night for free.

Lynn Nguyen

I always have an issue connecting to the Internet. So I always restart my laptop when I'm on the premises and it works fine. Password changes regularly .

Cozmik

Monday night jazz - when John Lee makes a rare appearance - is sweet. If Tryst just hadn't jacked up their prices & cut portions by 1/3 then it just might have been the perfect chill spot .

Carolyn Zimmerman

Love Tryst. Only had coffee and pastries/sweets here. consistently good and a very cozy atmosphere .

Sandra Rubinchik

If you're not sold on the coffee , pastries , or spacious layout . . . ANIMAL CRACKERS.

Eric Olsson

Try the Pesto Orzo - The small salads at Tryst are phenomenal. If you want a bigger one, the chefs will make it to order - and install it in a wrap if you like
