Crowded , cheap , loud , huge portions , descent Bloody Mary . Excellent food & service for the price. Great diner - loved it!
Excellent poached eggs with spinach with delicious hollandaise sauce for a vegetarian breakfast option. Go tater tots instead of fries . Yum and good if dining alone.
All. Day. Breakfast . Definitely a better pick for dinner (or a late-night snack ) than weekend brunch -- gets packed during peak hours. The veggie reuben is everything.
Great diner experience. Friendly staff , good food, large portions . We enjoyed the chilli cheese burger and the grilled salmon so much that we went for brunch the next day!
quite a rich assortment in weekly specials such as stuffed peppers (turkish) amd frittata (croatian) with affordable prices
Late nights that turn into early mornings should always include a stop at The Diner. Breakfast all day, and a s'more shake that had me wondering if I could legally marry a milkshake .
The service is great! Very friendly , quick, and laid back . It’s a fantastic menu. We want to try as much of it as possible!
Very good service and the food came out quickly. The food is well prepared and fresh. They have a great club sandwich or Philly cheesesteak .
Crab and avocado omelet and the blackened salmon sandwich are both good choices but you may not have room for dessert .
Early mornings or late late nights . Breakfast served all day long. The S'more milkshake is what dreams are made of.
A hallway of classic diner food . If you're not sure, just go for the Royale with pancakes . Don't get your eggs scrambled , unless you like them artificial
Shakes are tasty AF. Do yourself a favor and pair it with a classic cheese burger . Iconic DC.
Got there around 1:30 am, ample space . Left around 3, there was a line to get in. Make sure you get there before the clubs let out!
Great food ???? we ordered buffalo wings , alfredo pasta & grilled chicken & all are tasty ????????
Delicious burger—cooked perfectly! Service was professional as well .
Wait was super long, expected on Saturday morning during brunch rush... tater tots were phenomenal, plus all the other foods were good too! ha
The only problem with sitting at the counter is you have to watch every single milkshake go by in front of you!
Great atmosphere, open 24 hours , and solid food. They even have a tofu scramble !
Ordered the buffalo wings and was so pleasantly surprised. Might even say they're in my top 3 hot wings ever!! A+!
Good atmosphere and the "bone crusher" was pretty damn good. Will return...
Delicious breakfast , delicious burgers , you can't go wrong when you have those late night munchies !
Loved The Diner, but the service wasn't as great as everyone said. I would still go back nonetheless!
Good service good food they serve alcohol and really had a feel of old school diner .
On Father's Day,my dad J and I went to morning service at my church All Souls Unitarian. After service, I treated him to brunch at The Diner. We ate GREAT food. Loved the home fries . Wonerful spot! Read more
Brunch the best meal. Dinner used to be better. They took away my favorite tuna steak .

The Diner Royale is a gift made in heaven. Unlimited coffee with the order makes it a hangover miracle!
Excellent burgers and the jambalaya is the best I tasted on the east coast.
I love this place! Great, simple, fresh breakfast food .
The adult milkshakes are boozily delicious.
Avoid the morning rush! Took 10 minutes to get a table for 2 which was great but food was not good at all. Just had a not so good experience for my first time. My friend said the food is usually good
Chill atmosphere with killer brunch and dinners . Def recommend!

Wouldn't call this a traditional diner , but it still gets the job done. Great breakfast sandwich .
Get the Migas . That's all I'm saying. Migas are great. And best of all, NO repercussions. NONE. Ever.
The Heights is the perfect breakfast or brunch dish ????

The burgers are big and tasty. Very pleasant waiter .
Great when you are drunk and great when you are not. I verified!
Order an omelette with veggies and gruyere - very, very good. Hot chocolates with whipped cream are the best I've ever had.
Try their Chocolate Chip Thin Mint (Baileys Mint & Chocolate Ice Cream ) "adult milkshakes " SO GOOD.
chicken philly was slamming. Way too hot in the spot. Oh and the waiter surprised me because he was wearing regular clothes . I thought he was a customer. Mad funny! AC Please is July! SMH!
Good service . Portions are large; I recommend sharing. Not so noisy that you can't talk. Park in the garage if you can't find anything on the street.
If you like spicy bloody marys , this place has u covered
From Washingtonian: Diner Royale , veggie omelet , Greek omelet , Creole Champagne Cocktail
Their home fries are some of the best I've ever had.
Strangely, I've only ever been here for dinner - which is consistently great
Brunch was pretty bad. Beer bratwurst exploded in my face and the skin was inedible. My fiancée's florentine benedict was overly drenched in butter.
The sour cherry pie is delicious
Worth the wait! Breakfast Tots hit the spot.
My meal was everything!! Great service!!! Western Omelet >>Superb!!! - Janelle ????
Extensive whisky menu... options from all around the globe reasonably priced (about $10-15 for a drink)!!! The fries were great too and all the food others had looked/smelled really good - Andrew C
Tourist favorite! Usually crowded but quick service! Best breakfast in DC! - Amy
Menus are changing, I miss the black bean and quinoi (sp?) salad Great scene! - Gregoire Poirier
We had a blast bringing in the holiday season with lights and festivities! This was a fabulous FREE event. Fun winter themed snacks were overly expensive, but the rides were priced perfectly. - Eliza Weeks
