Be sure to check out the specials on the dry erase boards throughout the restaurant - most, if not all include a dessert . You won't find anything fancy , but it's good food for a very reasonable price.
Cox is a family restaurant . It is not fancy . It is old but very clean . Best kept secret in Morehead. The prices are fantastic. Try the fried oyster platter, the best I have had at the beach .

Monday night they have the BEST turkey dinner with stuffing, mashed potatoes , gravy , cranberry sauce and dessert . All for only $6.50. Everything is delicious, reasonable and the service is fast.
Just a hole in the wall but food was great large portions , super prices well worth your money. Try the fisherman platter. Cocktail sauce and tartar sauce are homage as well as the salad dressing .
Prime rib was great- very tender. The rocky road cobbler was awesome
