Consistently ranked as the number 1 restaurant Australia, and in 2011 also # 26 in the world. Awe-inspiring natural food incredibly presented.

The most amazing fine dining food I've ever had. Custard Apple Snow Egg from the Sampling Menu. Enough Said!
One of the Top 30 restaurants in the world, you get innovative (even jaw dropping) dishes and to die for views ! Mud Crab Congee , Black lip Abalone & Wagyu excel. Don't leave w/o trying the Snow Egg !!
Scenic view and dinner with toasties - took the 8 course tasting menu with classic wine pairing . Remember vividly the tartar of wagyu beef and the snow egg , the snow egg was really exceptional, rich
Mud crab congee and snow egg is a must have. My companion loved the bone marrow broth. Menu can be gluten free or vegetarian . Service was wonderful, there was an accident and got complimentary cake .
I loved everything, not for nothing is a recognized restaurant . The service was spectacular and the dishes were excellent. Perfect place to spend my honeymoon vacation overlooking the opera house.
Quay is located by the water, with floor-to-ceiling windows providing views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge . Diners flock here year-round and jockey for a spot on New Year’s Eve. Read more
Two words: snow egg . But you won't get there until you order a four-course menu or the tasting menu (highly recommended). Impeccable service with awesome views of Sydney's icons. Reserve tables early!
Creative place with mixed results: some goods and some stranges in flavor and texture. Well presented dishes, nice service personal. Over rated in my point of view .
Amazing tasting menu - and the Quay wine pairing gives you a chance to try several Australian wines . Book ahead of time!
Snow egg is a must have, as well as 8 flavoured chocolate cake .
The raw smoked Blackmore wagyu was the start and the snow egg the perfect ending to an exquisite dining experience.
Nice food! 8/10; service was great (they really look after gluten-intolerant patrons) and, contrary to other tips, the service and good came out quite quickly!
The Pork belly cooked slowly in salted cultured butter, milk curd , roasted koji, kombu, sesame & smoked pork rib broth was amazing
We have been fortunate to eat at many fine dining establishments but this experience raised the bar significantly. Food and service were faultless.
Texture take centre stage. Really interesting tasting menu that is exceptionally balanced and delivers an amazing experience.
Mud crab congee , red claw yabbies, pork jowl and jersey cream are all to die for. They serve campos coffee after meal for additional 10aud.
The famous snow egg is supremely awesome. So creative and savoury
If you want a casual meal without the pretence and need for booking a month in advance , then this is it. Good food, good service , reasonable price (not the wine ) and good views .
Must try the signature chocolate cake with 8 different textures of chocolate and the Snow Egg . To die for!!
Home of the Snow Egg , need I say more? Recommend a reservation in The Upper Tower - best views of Sydney Harbour
great location, right next to the bridge , opera house... couldn't be better placed. Experimental and memorable. Just bring a fat wallet. ;)
One of the best dining experiences I've ever had with an amazing view to match. We had the 7 course tasting menu and the mud crab congee and snow egg dessert were the highlights.
Beautiful food amongst beautiful views . Snow egg always wins hands down for a dessert .
Rated the best restaurant in Sydney and one of the top 30 in the world. Amazing experience. Last time I dined here I sat next to Tom Jones!
The seas pearls are delicious especially with a flute of Bollinger and that amazing Sydney Harbour View . A great destination to wow out of towners.
Snow. Egg . Genius. (Poached meringue . Granita . Ice cream .
Get the sticky date pudding to share - it comes in 3 serious pieces. This picture is of the mud cake , however. Sticky date already mostly devoured behind.
Super expensive but worth every penny. This has arguably the best location in Sydney and the food is to die for! I'm already saving for round 2. Make sure you try the Chocolate 7 ways dessert !
Peter Gilmore is a genius. You get what you pay for - great views , fantastic service, and dishes that take you to another world. (4 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
The views are good. Best place to watch the cruise ship depart
We went there for lunch for the view of Opera House. There was a large group of ladies having lunch on that day so it was pretty noisy . The food was not bad but neither 'wow'. Read more
Make sure you leave the afternoon free. You'll be eating for at least 3 hours :D Then you'll need a looooong nap :)
One of the best dining experiences I've ever had with a view to match. The mud crab congee and snow egg dessert were highlights from the current tasting menu .
Everything is great but the fish in Kangoroo soup was exceptional!
Book at least 3 months in advance and ideally by phone to improve your chances. Well worth the wait!
Leave some space for the dessert , they come in huge quantity. They ran out of most of the choices tonight, ended up with a nice sticky date pudding who could have fed 3 people.
Contrary to some of the other tips, I found service to be very attentive and friendly . Approachable and knowledgeable staff
Delicious tasting menu and wine pairing
Good service , great view . No doubt that food was excellently executed bit for price tag left slightly underwhelmed
tasting menu was mindblowing. highlights were the snow egg and the quail . well worth the price tag for a dining experience of 4.5 hours
The Rib Eye (Ship to Shore) is delicious. 3 entrees and 2 mains fed 4... With about 1/8th of the steak left over.
The mash potato is to die for - don't know how much actual potato is in it (more butter and cream, methinks), but I don’t really care!
Haven't been here for a while and the quay makes good mojitos lol pig jowl and rock lobster was the bomb
With a tantalising menu and service that is second to none, this is the ideal venue for your next corporate event .
The surf & turf is great. Awesome fries .
Very good Dinner !
The Sea Pearls were wicked. Consider asking to share a flight of the wines as well - the table next to us asked for this and managed to pay for one flight of wines but both diners got a glass each.
Make sure there is no ship at the overseas passenger terminal before asking for a table near the window. If unsure always ask for table with view of the bridge .
Such a great degustation here. Be sure to check out the Dr Loosen dessert wines ... Wow!
Really, really good fish-and-chips. You're paying for the view , but the food is just as good!
