Vete-Katten grundades 1928 av Ester Nordhammar och fick enligt ryktet sitt namn då den första ägarinnan gav svaret "Det vete katten" på frågan om vad inrättningen skulle kallas.

Beautiful old bakery . Order an amazing looking pastry and drink from the front, then find a seat in the maze of connected rooms or just turn left and head out to the garden seating .
Super fresh pastries & snacks . The staff is really friendly . This place is actually spacious . Take the “tour ” to the old and the new part! Do not miss the Budapesttarten with tangerine or strawberry !
Order by the counter, if garden is open, sit out. It's nice. You can hv coffee and water free here! Help yourself! Sometimes you could even log on the free wifi from the hotel next door ;) enjoy!
Princess cake here is delicious. Fluffy, not too sweet with the perfectly thin marzipan on top. Latte comes in a giant bowl. Casual self service counter. Plenty of seating for grabs.
Wonderful place to have a fika. Nice and cozy decor , amazing cakes and pastries (most of them are really good) and friendly , energetic staffs . You must come here for Traditional Swedish bakery
Best Skagen sandwich . And this one is actually pretty specious place. Sandwich is about 90kr, cappuccino 35.
A classic Swedish Cafe , and a perfect place for a Fika. The pastry is better than the baked goods and the hot chocolate is amazing.
One of the best Swedish konditories I've ever been. Try the princess tarta with hot chocolate , you can't go wrong with this combination. Prices are higher than usual, though.
Really nice place, well decorated. They have a good variety of pastries for around 24 SEK. It's possible to take out , but better to stay and enjoy the place and its ambiance.
Lots of delicious cakes ! Princess cake is the best! Its quite busy even on weekdays, the place is very spacious with lots of tables
Probably the best semla in Stockholm! This is the type of cafe you bring your grand mother too, and sit long to enjoy the sense of time having stopped long before the 21st century
I'm sure everything behind that glass display won't disappoint. In fact, just close your eyes and point at one if you're an indecisive person like me when it comes to dessert !
Beautiful location, excellent sweets, fair prices . Walk through to the "Coffee room " in the back for a comfy sofa .
This place is one of the classics in Stockholm. It is a must visit when you visit Sweden. I love everything about this place.
Great selection of small cakes ! Really delicious! Sit next to the baking room and get an insight in how to make Swedish kanebullar.
The Prinsesstårta is sublime. The building is beautiful and the service is super friendly . It's a lovely place to spend a morning.
Sandwiches are delicious and cheap ,you can find some breakfast menu until 10 a.m. Cafe is old bur has a good decoration????????
I love this vintagey cosy fika spot, and they often have vegan kanellbullar. They almost always have a vegan raspberry tart
A great spot for some authentic Swedish pastries . Their courtyard is a great place to spend a sunny afternoon.

Swedish princess cake so delicious ! I think most of the desserts here are delicious , and coffee is good
Nice pastry , and good architechture, a little expensive than others. Try Semla , i liked it.
Such a relaxed place to sit. The pulled pork sandwich is great with a decent size salad on the side. Definitely recommend!
Very nice sweets and pastries , excellent coffee quality , amazing design
WHY THERE: café , desserts , pastry , snacks . STUFF: glittering. STAFF : friendly . LOCATION: mainstream (inconvenient). PRICES: average (reasonable) [VETE-KATTEN]
Wonderful cinnamon buns , or kannelbullar, and nice lattes . Lots of seating room but no WiFi .
Cool and partly authentic Swedish pastry place. A lot of good things to choose from.
Vegan sandwiches upon request and delicious vegan cinnamon rolls ????????????
Wonderfully authentic near-homemade food café with plenty cozy nooks. Besides, there are multiple entrances and cashier counters.
Traditional swedish bakery with karlsbaderbullar, jitterbug and semla . They used to have a live band on Sunday's. Maybe they still do : )
Quaint, old fashioned interior and amazing pastries ! The 'Tosca' (pictured) was gorgeous.
Ambitious packaging for a semla – but it won’t make you disappointed. Crème de la crème whipped cream (pun intended), succulent bun , but almond paste could have been more chunky and toasted.
First stop when I arrived in Stockholm. Cute cafe with delicious, fresh food .
Sf folks this is the closest thing to tartine . Great traditional Swedish pastries (get Semla ), bread and coffee
Nice tea collection.Oh and you can get yummy things to-go as well .
The only place in town where you can actually spot a cat. (A bronze, but nonetheless.)
