New cool modern place, not completely done yet, will have more mkts, upstairs seating area, squid ink ice cream there to try!
Great food market and mini foodie destination! Its the new Chelsea Market of the LES. Definitely worth a visit!
We’ll miss the authenticity of the old space but the new space is cleaner, has seating and a bunch of new vendors
Fabulous new market . Great produce and good prices.
Vegan sandwich / cheese shop is good (riverdels). Davidoch bagels weren’t that great. Nice place to sit upstairs
It's so much nicer than the old one with a ton of room to explore and a lot of food, drink, and shopping options. Even has couches and space to hangout on the lower level area.
Great local market with some of the best vendors you’ll find in the City . Coffee , cheese , baked goods , fresh fish , cupcakes - this place has it all!
Eat Gai has really goo Hainanese chicken rice with winter melon soup .
Good place to hang out esp during cold weather. All the excellent options under one roof. From starters to dessert .
I wanted to hate it because the original was unique. Had to get over my grumpiness when I saw all the great shops with some of the original vibe still there
Eat Gai’s wings, assemble your own sandwich from Essex Formaggio, the soup from the soup lady, and the most affordable decent cup of coffee in the city at Porto Rico!
Someone compared this market to Chelsea Market - it's more like its much smaller sibling. Some gems here, if you're willing to walk around and see what you like.
Lots of vegan options (ramen , sandwiches , etc.). $5 off if you buy anything $15+ with Apple Pay
Excellent new market in LES!
Bathroom code is 11588#
Beautiful new location. Spacious and clean . Great selection of food.
I discovered Essex Market during covid. Love all the businesses there, especially the fresh fruit .
Fantastic foodhall for shopping and eating.

Less and less Latino stuff. More swank than original market . All good.
Great modern market !
Pain D’Avignon has excellent fresh bread and pastries .
Ends Meat: try the Roast beef sandwich !!!
Really nice food court .
this place is cool, but avoid heroes & villains: the proud Mary chicken sandwich and the fries were both bad bad bad
BEER RICE BALLZ
i don’t like the crunchy part in the pork sandwich i got sad face
Limited food options only one drink options closes early and staff are rude.
The Interpretations of Indian village food are amazing. Don’t miss the weekly cocktails & definitely don’t skip dessert! - Ankit Shah
This shop is the best bang for your buck coffee in the city ($2.50 for a large drip, plus a buy 5 get one free stamp card= ~$2.10/lg cup of coffee) - Gregory Fisher
Love everything I’ve tried here. I like the baguette sandwiches (ham and turkey so far 👌🏼) and then the almond or ham and gruyere croissants are yummy. I also love that they sell half loaves! - Jenny Ung
CLAMS 3 Ways: Clam Chowder, Fried Clams and Razor Clams. All amazing! - Gino Gianneschi
The Inday bowls are huge and super affordable. - Natalie Pacheco
Lots of vegan options! Including Cinnamon Snail and Beyond Sushi. - austin dsouza
My favorite location. Lots more space and much better stocked than all the others - James L
Honestly one of the best tasting pad thai ive had in the city! The noodles are a finer kind. The slight downside is they don’t offer other protein sub such as tofu, only chicken (gai). Will come back! - Alyssa B.
