The lady thought the grandma cappeletti was divine, innovative. I just loved my uovo + truffle tortellini . We also praise the vongole , al dente , creamy, perfect.
All the hand-rolled pastas here, the strozzapreti is a fav. Gnocco frito with burrata & all desserts esp the homemade gelati . Great vibe and energy. Unique Italian wines many pleasantly priced!
My favs were Grandma Walking Through the Forest and the duck ragu ! Between 2 people, you can share 4 pastas , and you'll want to. And the candied sage on the apple sorbet is a revelation
Phenomenal pasta . Grandma walking through the forest , Uovo raviolo and Tagliolini al Ragu are instant classics. Punctuate a near perfect meal with a delightful tiramisu .
Gnocco fritto delicious w/or w/o the salumi . 1)anolini di parma perfectly al dente 2) gramigna giallo e verde flavorful 3)tagliolini al ragu 4)spaghettoni con granchio good but needs more crab & salt.
Sausage Ragu , Egg Pasta , Pistachio Gelato , and even the Lambrusco (not a typo?!) were all spectacular! Would absolutely return to try everything else on the menu ????
NYT Top New Restaurants *** (8/2019): "Pasta tasting; burrata with leeks ; gnocco frito ; anolini di Parma ; tagliolini al ragù ; veal cheek ; rabbit and sweetbreads ; olive oil cake ; la dolcezza d’estate."
While the highlights are the pastas , the buratta with prosciutto is wonderful (get the bread with it). And the sirloin steak is just something else. Exceptional, and modestly portioned.
Loved it. Gnocco fritto, endive, all the pastas . Great wine list . Can’t wait to come back for the pasta tasting!
NYT Critic's Pick *** (8/2019): "Pasta tasting; burrata with leeks ; gnocco frito ; anolini di Parma ; tagliolini al ragù ; veal cheek ; rabbit and sweetbreads ; olive oil cake ; la dolcezza d’estate."
Eater: top dish is the al ragu . The sauce, forged from ground mortadella , soffrito, pork , and salumi , exhibits an otherworldly meatiness, while the soft tagliolini absorbs all the MSG-esque savoriness
Everything we had was incredible. Portions were small for the price point, but still worth it!
NYT Critic's Pick *** (2019): "Pasta tasting; burrata with braised leeks ; gnocco frito ; anolini di Parma ; tagliolini al ragù ; veal cheek ; rabbit and sweetbreads ; olive oil cake ; la dolcezza d’estate."
Incredible tiramisu , excellent pastas (anolini di parma in particular). Great wine list , and cacio e pepe and mortadella were solid.
Pastas are simple and delicate, favorably highlighting fresh ingredients . Some amazing bites were had. Service was a bit off, but still young, so...okay.
One of the best Italian restaurant outside Italy. Traditional cuisine from Emilia Romagna, homemade pasta and amazing duck ragú .
Every drink was exceptional, personally loved the ouovo dish, and gelato for dessert
One of the top genuine Italian (not Italian-American) places in NYC
Loved everything I ate and the atmosphere. Don’t leave without trying the cacio e pepe salad .
Excellent food. Everything else not good. Music makes no sense: random old pop; not in a cool throwback way. Timing is off on service. If they really fine tune , this place would be excellent
We all come here for the pasta , but the best part of the meal was the costolete (pork )…????????
The pasta tasting is the perfect meal. Close with some fantastic gelato
Gnocco Frotto and Pasta Strozzapreti are super good.
Raviolo and strozzapreti are amazing
Get only pasta and you’ll be happy. And those puffed gnocchi things.
Get the gnocco fritto. Maybe two orders.
Pasta , veal , everything.
Fairly small portions but pasta is very fresh and good
Grandma walking through the forest in Emilia
I would happily eat here every night.
Super Overrated

Grmigna pasta
Slow and extremely rude service. Some of the worst I’ve encountered in NYC. Glad I went so I know I absolutely never have to go back.
TO Top NYC 2019
Very disappointing …. Slow and uninterested service … food far below par
Maravilla de lugar
This was the best place to stop while walking around Greenwich Village; great salad and lasagne, but the best part is the private room. This was best Italian food since Rome - Stephen Wright
The place feels like a lively night downtown, circa 1958. Classics include linguine & clams, veal Parmesan, chicken scarpariello & lobster fra diavolo. Full Menu - http://goo.gl/IkIR5 - 7th.List
The tortellini was delicious. A great vegetarian friendly restaurant in the West Village! - Zak Suhar
Nutella crepes! And the rooftop restaurant with Great views and food is a must! - Alex Currie
