Amazing place! Home style cooking taken to another level! Try the suicide kings shrimp appetizer and the brisket is a must. The specialty cocktails are also amazing and the cooks are super sociable.

The Memphis ribs and the smoked chicken are two very good choices. The greens, sautéed okra and mashed sweet potatoes are also no brainers. However, the pork and beans weren't as good as we expected.

Come for happy hour from 4-6 during the week and 3-5 on the weekends. They have a great selection of beers on tap . And their pulled pork is my favorite in all of Philly! ????

Come for lunch as the prices are slashed in half. I had the razorvack which is 1/3 baby back ribs and pulled pork w/one side. A beer will make the meal complete.

The Ho-Down was an excellent choice. Very tender and full of taste. The hush puppies were pretty good as well . Def will be going back to try something else.

Pretty good BBQ for the North, although there are more authentically southern BBQ places elsewhere in the city . Great happy hour specials .

I have yet to find something here that isn't delicious. Hands down the best BBQ I've ever had.

Great food and bartenders ! Cozy and warm inside if you want to forget it's winter for a bit.

The collard greens are amazing, the mac and cheese .. amazing. Coleslaw .. amazing. Everything here is amazing. That's all.

Service is excellent but it's pretty noisy . Definitely try the hush puppies and get some mashed potatoes !

Platters are too much food but the mashed potatoes are a must try

Sweet kick is a favorite, and for good reason! It's delicious and so are the sweet potato fries

Beef brisket is awesome... Choose the pork and beans over the baked beans for a side.

Blackened catfish was really good! Smoked chicken was pretty good but nothing special. Pre-made chicken at Fresh Grocer tasted better :P

Good shrimp , Mac and cheese , pulled pork . Memphis ribs not quite tender enough though.

Try the "MacNow" sandwich : pulled pork , peppers , and cheese with regular and sweet potato fries . Perfect BBQ spot for lunch .

The brisket was about as good as@Dicky's in Texas, so not that good. Mac & cheese was good.

Amazingly delicious! If you're into BBQ , this is the place.

Delicious!!! Everything was good, especially the ribs and pulled pork . And they have kool-aid!!

OMG! the Hushpuppies are gangsta! Come for them and the grilled shrimp ! Be advised...service is a bit slow.

Katie G is the best bartender and their sweet pot fries are incredible :)

Fried okra is delicious. Splurge on the beef ribs . Well worth it.

Catfish PO' Boy w/Chicken Smoked Rice .

Not good. Went restaurant week on Tuesday at 630pm and was told they were out of ribs ... WTF ... wasted trip. So many options in the area- go somewhere else first. Assistant manager just mumbled.

Take the Fried Catfish over the Blackened. Blackened tastes burned. The corn is cold too

Try the pull pork and IPA beer on draft .

Food is good, but since it's brand new they still have a few kinks to work out.

They need to add rieseling to the drink menu!
