Maryland Heights Overlook

A nice, short hike that I have made plenty of times. Careful parking on the Maryland side of the river though - someone broke into my car through the back window while I hiked . Glass everywhere. ????

The red blazed Overlook Trail is shorter with less climbing, still a great view .

A stunning view . Aim for dusk to get some special shots. Or if you're feeling very confident, trek up their early to get some shots at dawn when the clouds are below you.

It's steep in places, but the track is wide and very well maintained, just take your time. The view at the end is worth it.

Hike up to the fort and then the overlook for a great workout. Bring binoculars , water & snacks

Very tough hike , take good shoes and plenty of water. But worth every bead of sweat!!!!!!

Hike the green to red trail towards the Overlook Cliffs. The ascent will be worth it once you see the view . :)

Not a trail for beginners. Great exercise. Bring water , you'll need it.
