The first 2 miles along the coast is most beautiful. Swimming in the falls is also nice, but you probably won't be alone.

Misplaced location! The trailhead starts at the end of the 560 on Ke'e beach . Hike 2 miles to Hanakapi'ai Beach and another 2 miles to Hanakapi'ai Falls.

Fun hike with amazing views . There are a few river crossings which can flood after heavy rain, so check the weather.

Bring plenty of water. Cheese and crackers and granola bars make a great snack . Pack a sandwich for lunch at the falls. Bring a waterproof camera .

Embrace the mud. Accept that your shoes will be soaked. And you'll have a lot more fun!

The views ! The views ! THE VIEWS! I was also exhausted after hiking .

The hike is great!! Take your time and enjoy the Aloha !!

Swim under the falls! It's breath-taking and surprisingly calm once you are through to the other side.

Be very wary about swimming in falls. Teamin with bacteria that can get in just with cuts on body. Drink some or get infected and you'll have a week of antibiotics. so my tip is to NOT swim .
