The name Myriad Botanical Gardens was officially adopted May 5, 1970. The name came from “the Myriad,” the new 13,000-seat arena and convention center across the street from the parkland.

This is a beautiful park in the heart of downtown OKC. A recent renovation has made it downright amazing. Great for a stroll and the Crystal Bridge is a unique thing to check out.

To celebrate their 25th anniversary, the Myriad Gardens offers free admission to the Crystal Bridge on the 25th day of every month in 2013 (except December).
In 1971, New York architects Conklin + Rossant were chosen to design the new project after a nationwide competition.
