While it is impossible to beat a hawker centre, National Kitchen is a great way to try a variety of classic local dishes with great atmosphere. Highly recommend it.
Standard hearty nyonya dishes in very pretty setting. Has a wee bar and outdoor seats for pre-dinner drinks. Ikan Goreng Chilli emerged top of picks: fish is crisp yet moist with a perfect rempah.
Food feels about the same as the Bukit Timah branch. But it's ask about the ambiance... And it's awesome!
It's on the 2nd floor of National gallery . Great atmosphere and beautiful Eurasian food! Coffee is so good and dry Laska is must try!
The peranakan high tea set offers a tasty alternative to usual high teas . Highly recommended for those new to this local cuisine to have a taster .
Fancy new restaurant by the godmother of Peranakan cooking. Everything is good but nothing great. The fancy settings seems a mismatch for this comfort food .
High tea is worth mentioning. Every individual item is flavorful. Very local flavor style. Definitely I'll be back for their high tea again.
The decor and setup of The National Kitchen is highly elegant with a matching ambiance presented by the staff . The quality of food is good though can lack a bit of depth and authenticity .
Never skip the dessert and starter!

Great atmosphere. Tasty local dishes
Food was nice and authentic but service could have been better and more attentive
Must try curry fish head
Amazing food exceeded expectations
this place is terrible. the worst food i've had in a restaurant in a long time. each dish was practically inedible. i cannot believe the ratings. traditional singapore food has got to be better.
Nice place but food not so fantastic. Seafood not fresh. Meat menu is good.
Enjoyed the Beef Rendang
Beautiful restaurant ; make a reservation
