Definitely recommended. Awesome Peranakan dishes with a modern twist, without compromising on traditional flavors . The rempah is so well done, which makes the flavor of these dishes perfect!

Buah keluah wagyu is fairly tasty, the mutton rendang -awesome rempah though meat a tinge too gamey, but deliciously tender, petai sambal was sublime, blue crab curry was more Thai than peranakan 5*!

Suzie Jiang

Free flow rice and water!! Spiciness level: medium - high... A bit pricey . Mushroom goreng salad is a must try, followed by spicy stir-fried squid . Don't: do not try "The Textures of Coconut " at $9.

Lovely peranakan place you can bring not too adventurous visitors to love the peranakan aesthetics and taste. The old and wise guides you in life (and menus). Star shaped bean salad was refreshing!

Wen Huang

Always enjoyed Chef Malcolm's food - the change to a tasting menu format really allows him to shine on flavored and plating. Must try dessert - the Buah Keluak ice cream .

Tino Buranasilapin

Has delish crab curry , king prawns and many other dishes. Note that this place is a Michelin star restaurant . Food here is pricey .

Torzin S

The food here is simply delicate and delicious. Good place tobunderstand Peranakan cuisine and its future. The desserts are truly superb, one of the best in Singapore.

Mert Saka

A delightful kitchen with many different foods to choose from. If you try grilled pork cheek and king prawns , you won't forget to like my comment ;-)

Candlenut Kitchen was awarded a Michelin Star in The Michelin Guide Singapore 2016.

Farid Nordin

The desserts were very good! Was here for the restaurant week and all of our orders were simply delicious! We had the sambal snapper and quail . Definitely coming back here again.

dennis tang

Had 5 dishes in all, and they were all really delicious! the beef rendang was utterly "melt in mouth", sambal mushroom was interesting and the wing bean salad was surprisingly crunchy and tasty.

pin lee

Assam fish , rendang , veg w tau Cheo (fermented bean paste ) were gd. Nice ambience in what was a former army barrack. Gula Melaka ice cream was delish. Strong coffee too!

Andrew Shuttleworth

Well balanced, tasty food that balances flavor, presentation, texture, tradition and originality. 2nd visit and pleased both times. Definitely will be back.

Allison Niksich

Whoa - everything here is stellar. The crab curry is an absolute must but treat yourself to the chefs tasting menu if you can

Sayanee Basu

Beef rendang , Adam pedas fish , sambal belachan, buak keluah ice cream - all Super flavourful!

Ah Leong San

Sambal petai prawns is a dish worth trying. BUT be warned that the sambal is truly HOT!!! And the prawns are fresh and crispy . Must try.

Kuan Yeap

Love it!! Birthday celebration dinner in this lovely environment. I am happy with the service and food. ????????

Cheryl Ye

The crab curry was fabulous. Deffo worth the Michelin star status. Portions are a little small but worth the experience

Colin Leong

good Peranakan food to be had here. duck rendang was great, turmeric wings flavourful - so far all hits and no misses. wrap it up with a dessert , cendol is my pick.

Peranakan cuisine, one of Singapore's oldest fusion cuisines combining Chinese & Malay influences, is recognised as a category by Michelin for the very first time.

1 Michelin star S$138 for tasting menu plus drinks, service and tax. A la carte comes in around $100 inc 1 drink. A bit far out - 20 min walk from subway station

Gregory Fisher

He ah-me-kase is definitely worth it! Very filling and a wonderful sampling of 10 dishes. For dessert , the durian one is great:)

Rafa Larrañaga

Excellent service , unfortunately it was way below my expectations. The food was good, but it wasn't great. We went for the full special menu and I had 2 awesome dishes, the rest pretty average :(.

Christine Ha

Elevated Peranakan food which is mix of Chinese & Malay. Desserts are yum. Nice spacious ambience. 1 Michelin star .

Alex Yip

Note that the serving size here is smaller than normal. Immediately ask for more sambal , they only give a dollop. Try the Babi Pongteh, Fish Gulai , and Rendang .

Rendy Tan

Omg. The breast duck pork n beef all super nice.. Worth it. Come and try for once.

clive kornitzer

Crab curry the bomb

Robin Rheaume

Omg the buah keluk ice cream to die for.

Angelina Hue

Food was alright thought I was expecting more given the high prices. While the space was lovely, the cheesy elevator music dampened the atmosphere.

Lam Kim Seng

Try the choking sotong. Nice grilled taste.

Bruno Canon

Truffle pizza !

Andrew C.

The cendol !!!

Erini Ya

Closed. For reconstruction?

Li Lian Mah

Expensive and I did not really enjoy the food.... Not impressed with the fusion efforts. Disappointed.

Manu Tercic

Pas aussi enthousiaste que les précédents visiteurs. Probablement à cause de notre choix de plat . Écrevisse façon Buah keluak, sorte de ragoût a base d'un fruit fermenté. Prix raisonnables. Service ok
