The Sunday roast was gorgeous as was the Scotch Egg . Make sure you get a bottle of the Malbec house red to go with your meal. Dog friendly too.

The mint sauce is the star of the lamb roast . Only downside is the proximity to other diners in the back room - I don't need to hear about your sledging plans for 35mins.

The owners are ex-Soho House, so decor-wise you're in tasteful hands: blood-red leather button-back sofas , soft-lit chandeliers and a few wall-mounted deer antlers for good measure. Read more

Good but small selection of beer . Very new-Hackney with kids playing on sofas during the day. Table by the step to the right of the bar , the staff are in and out of the room there and it smells funky.

Hands down, my favourite local pub . Love the food, the atmosphere and the wine list . Great for pub lunch and late drinks.

Loved listening to classical music in the loo. Now, roast wise, it is definitely more worth it if you are carnivorous: the veggie stuff is not impressive and it's too expensive for what you get.

Brilliant refurb, v tasteful & a local to be proud of. Generous portions , cheese board MASSIVE and try the sweet potato chips ! Very impressed and so grateful the Pennethorn has gone!!

Sunday roast that does not suck. Nothing overdone. The beef rare to medium rare, the vegetables crisp and flavorful. Nice thick crispiness on the potatoes .

Excellent Sunday roast . Yummy!

The burger is EPIC!

Terrible service! 3/4 meals were delivered quite quickly whereas the fourth took almost an hour with no apology or explanation! Food is nice but not worth the wait.

There's the stuffed head of an extremely weird animal against the pillar at the bar ! Is it a Yeti?
