Incredibly beautiful park ~20min from downtown Arlington. Busy, but great trails lining the river which are not to be missed. ~1.5-2hr for a hike along the water, looping back to the Visitor Center

Visit Fairfax

A cool park to go to with your family or friends. There are place were you can eat and walk. The fee is not much. Most of the time there is parking . The park is the most full on weekends in the summer

Perfect place for hiking and/or relaxing...go early...$5 for entrance and cash is quicker...Instead bringing lunch try BBQ , it is more fun...restrooms are miserable but who cares.

For my oldest son's bar mitzvah, went hikeing the billy goat trail . Hired two guides (John Fishback is one.) Special back packs with their lunch/water provided. Bussed all from hotel to BG-location.

I loved the Virginia side trails more than the Maryland side.. If you planning to hike be sure to bring water and snacks ????

The trails are challenging but always fulfilling because eventually you are going to see the well-known twenty foot waterfalls . The serenity is priceless and all trails are wheelchair friendly .

This park is the best! Obey the signs please. Do not drown. We live near the park and hear the sirens way too often.
