Literally a hole in the wall restaurant with very limited seating space but all that seem OK when the food is so awesome. Vegetarian Arepas , Cocunut lime drink, different dippings were delicious.
Loved the taro nachos and arepas . Great options for someone who can't eat gluten or dairy. Will definitely come again the next time I'm in San Fran. MASSIVE portions though.
Enjoy fresh, authentic Venezuelan food at Pica Pica. Trythe Arepa Beef Pabellón — a corn pocket stuffed with shredded beef doused in homemade sauce , sweet plantains and a black bean spread. Read more
I tried the empanadas , white arepa with beef and the sweet corn cachapa . Thoughts: white arepa mixed with sweet plantains , beef and black beans is an amazing combination, empanadas wouldnt get again.
The vegetariana plate with a sweet yellow arepa is delicious and filling. If you're with other people, consider grabbing the yuca fries starter—the fries are great with the aioli and the guac is bomb!
Yuca fries were delish. Shrimp ceviche was soso. The sweet corn looked a little tastier than the regular I got. Pulled pork hands down better than the chicken . Super friendly staff , good service
Wow. Wow. I was unprepared for how much I was going to love the shredded beef pabellón with the sweet yellow corn .
Arepas are really the type of thing I feel you have to be in the mood for. If you aren't craving sweet corn mush, then hit all the other places in the Mission.
I've never had an arepa before, but I will have to again! Pork (?) black bean purée and plantains in a sweet yellow shell.
The grilled chicken arepa with sweet yellow corn and coconut lime fresh juice was sent straight from heaven to this place here on earth! ???? soo good!
The sweet yellow corn is a really nice addition to the arepa !
The vegetarian arepa is so good (&filling!) They've also got some great fresh juices . The coconut lime is really yummy & refreshing!
Arepas , cachapas and empanadas . A bit pricey but the food is worth it. Try the coconut lime water. Can't wait to go back.
Get arepas with the sweet corn shell (cachaca ) and add avocado . Put the spicy orangey creamy looking sauce on everything. Empanadas are fried and filled with queso fresco ~ yum!

Beef arepa is tasty. Good gluten free fair . Hard to prioritize this place over the other incredible Latin American food in the area.
The Plato is awesome. But add Yuca frites to get the full savory experience. This was a very nice surprise.
The shredded beef pabellon is so YUMMY!! (Stuffed with plantains , blk. beans, queso fresco ).
All of the arepas are great!
The plantanes are so good! Better than El Techo rumor has it. I loved the coconut rice as well .
Amazing arepas and cachapas with many veggie options
Maizewich pabellon keeps me coming back! So much deliciousness packed in every bite...and it makes me exceedingly happy that everything is gluten-free here. ---> :) see?

The sweetness of the cachapa is out of this woorldddd. If you get it to go, don't forget the sauce!
Get the shredded beef pabellón if you're looking for a classic dish, you also can't go wrong with yuca fries !
Coconut and line juice drink is amazing and pairs perfectly with the food. Don't miss it if its available!
Grilled chicken arepas and empanadas , so nice, after I was full for the whole day!
Garlic Yuca fries were my favorite. Would suggest the pulled pork over the beef pabellon
