Make sure to check out the outdoor natural playscape area and explore the wonders and simplicity of natural play. It's beautiful! You can also meet and greet backyard animals like oppossum & more.
Awesome exhibits , but I expected more- coming from Raleigh's Natural Science Museum 4x the size of this one...$32 for 3 adults and 1 child. Wanna see a butterfly atrium- Durham or Raleigh is BEST!
The Fairy festival last weekend was great fun. My daughter made a wand and a fairy house, and there was storytelling, a puppet show and much more.
Neat place to bring the kids. Have a variety of animals for them to see and a few activities that kids will enjoy. We went on the lizard, snake, turtle day and it was worth it.
Perfect weekend destination! This museum has great exhibits and family fun! Learn even more about prehistoric animals, and buy highly detailed dinosaur collectibles by visiting www.FindDinosaurs.com. Read more
come check out the new playscape area for your kids that I helped construct today with a crew from the National Wildlife Federation. Pretty cool!
Great for younger kids. Admission is $8 for those 2 and older.
Explore the butterfly pavilion, the creepy crawlies at "insect alley" and a nature trail located in a 100-year-old forest .
Unless your kids are five or under this place doesn't have a whole lot to offer (certainly less than an hour visit).
This place has changed so much in 20 years! I still love it!
Free admission for Discovery Place members!
