Many museums could learn from this one. Informative, engaging and beautifully laid out, this museum is a gem. The art gallery upstairs is the cherry on top.
Loved the Listening Room (cleared my migraine). The art gallery had great contemporary artwork from artistd who work in Alaska. Fantastic selection of Native crafts and jewelry in gift shop .
The Museum 's digital portable planetarium introduced "NASA Days," which includes planetarium shows for children illustrating grade specific science concepts.
Not only a beautiful museum ; the exhibit that incorporates real-time aurora and tectonic plate feedback was sooo cool.
Great spot for a picnic (outside space not show, also available)
This is one of the best natural science museums I've been to. All of the exhibits are very well done.
I just visited and all the films were included as a flat price. So have enough time to check out all the shorts and pieces.
Get out your rock-vaporizing laser! You’ve explored your scientific curiosities just like NASA’s Curiosity rover on Mars. Stay curious and keep exploring. You never know what you’ll find..

The views are very nice, the exhibitions teach you about Alaskan wildlife and art .
Lots of hands-on things for the kiddos to have fun with!
Fairbanks' best museum . Local art , natural history and culture. Recently expanded and renovated. Don't miss.
Wonderful building, very nice collection. And they sell inuit seal skin products!!
Check out the giant woolly mammoth tusks, and don't miss the charmingly archaic northern lights exhibit in the back of the old section of the museum .
Great informative place. A must see.
Kids loved the Children's Museum !
Walk up the stairs and look out the window: no artistry as perfect as Nature's
Be prepared to spend some time. At least 2.5 hours.
Beautifully put together. Very educational .
Nice museum !
The listening room on 2nd floor is relaxing
Bring your own gear they don't rent, have to buy the sleds.... hard to pack on a plane back..... but great fun for the kids - Rod Carey
If people say you should visit Alaskaland they mean this place. It's hopping in summer with shows, the salmon bake, air museum, & the train (a must for all ages). The gallery is open year around. - Rachael Kvapil
