Favourite always the Claypot yong tofu ! Of course all their food are really great make you feel how the 70's Chinatown street food supposed to be
Indeed a good Tze char with wok hei! Teochew steam fishhead and hor fun is tasty and cooked just right. Chicken in claypot on other hand though flavorful, is overcooked and hard.
(4.5/5) A slightly pricy , cash-only restaurant serving up a bevy of local Singaporean dishes. Get there earlier as popular dishes sell out, but absolutely be sure to try the prawn bee hoon/hor fun!
Love the prawns . Love the claypot . Go with your friend, Kueng, and he'll make sure you order delicious things.
The dinner here is definitely comforting! Love it! Didn't manage to try the legendary prawn noodles though! Will make sure I do it next time!!
Big prawn ho fun and yong tau foo claypot are my favourites. I can't order anything else because they're too good to miss out on :)
I used to love their big prawn sang meen. was the most amazing but now since the Michelin status, quality has plunged! Oversalted, noodles were broken after frying(?),no fireworks !will not be back!
Love the dinner here! Super crowded and their food is so comforting! Didn't manage to try to legendary prawns noodles but I will make sure I try the next round!
Yum! Exceptional and varied local food. Holding its own against the new pretentious tenants that surround it.
Opens at 12pm. Many fans queue up prior to get choice seats for their group size. There’s another dining room besides this
The big prawn hor fun is f#cking life changing. Big sloppy prawny umami slippery brothy goodness. Just get it lah. Actually all their hor funs are good.
Big prawn hor fun is seriously damn yummy! #legit
Love the food! Very comforting. A bit sad that we didn't get to try the legendary big prawn mee hoon. Will definitely be back!!
The famous Big prawn noodle ! ???????????????????????? yum.. not too spicy & full of flavor ????
For lunch , Kok Sen serves an incredible prawn noodle soup made with spicy sambal belacan (be sure to book ahead).
Gotta love the (add your preferred flavour) Hor Fun here, done to smoky, caramelised perfection drizzled in an eggy, hearty sauce. Pair with chilli padi for a spicy kick into gastronomic heaven!
Prawn sang meen is delicious, really amazing sauce. Claypot yong tau foo is also a specialty.
You may be first in the queue but they won’t seat you unless the complete group is present. Remind your guests to be punctual
Shrimp Hor Fun and Claypot Yong To Fu are the must
The food is very good, wokhei for the prawn horfun is yums!!! Order rice to go with the sauce
The har hor fun is delicious and the soup is absolute prawn divine!
Must try the big prawn bee hoon , beef hor fun and sang har mee. Their other cze char items are also gd. Two thumbs up!
Fried frog is not overly-done with a great marinade . Moist and meaty
The prawn ee-mee is so flavorful. The steamed pork mince with salted prawn is chunky unami heaven.
Although the long waiting time, yong tau fu and sang har mee is a must try here.
Big Prawn Hor Fun is DAMN SHIOK
is famous for its wok-fried hor fun . ask for suggestions or order the claypot yong tau foo
The Claypot Yong Taufu was the savior of the night... other than that... everything else was so-so. But still so crowded ... ppl there for the Michelin status?
Tasty indeed but very thirsty thereafter. Is it overdose of MSG or what?!!
Definitely get the prawn hor fun and the fried chicken !
Their prawn paste chicken is tasty but a tad on the salty side
Bib gourmand serving Cantonese zi char food - beef with spring onions or hor fun
Their Ha Cheong Kai Chicken is awesome! A must-try. Other good choices would be the steamed spinach and hor fun .
Kung bao frogs was ok too but no depth in taste. Frogs were fresh!
Barley drink is not home-cooked. Take note
Big prawn hor fun is really good! Claypot yong tou fu is so-so, somee pieces were cold in fact. Crispy roast chicken is not bad.
Food is fresh and tasty. Though the place can be a little tight and rowdy but the food eaten will be worth it!
If u like Cantonese chi chay this is the place
Honestly, there is nothing special about thisplace. It is soaverage-any hawker.c would have the exact same dish4cheaper$!We waited 50min 4 ourorder! They kept on knodding when they clearly forgot ourdish
Prawn Hor Fun , Claypot Yong Tau Foo , Prawn Paste Chicken
You can make reservations if more than 7 people
the spinach with salted and century egg . homestyle cooking!
Mus go early on weekends dinner time.. It b v packed.. When orders r alot, waiting time oso gg b long.. But food is nice. I nVr left wif disappointment ~
Food is tasty. But avoid coming on peak hours. Service is extreme slow, poor and with long wait . In the end 2 out of 3 dishes we ordered was not available and they end up getting our last order wrong.
One of the best local dishes in town
They only accept cash but you can draw money from the 7/11 opposite.
Sambal Kang Kong ... with not much sambal ????
Big prawn hor fun is a must !!
Late night delicious Tze Char dinner ????
Hor fun was reallllyyyy sedap!
Char siew rice...the best! Also don't forget the chilli to eat with the char siew...heavenly! - Alan
Crabs are amazing! Olive fried rice is good. Also, try the pork ribs and fried skinless chicken. - Johan Pang
Fantastic tze char restaurant, family-owned. Don’t miss the ultraman chicken and XO hor fun. - Jane
Almond Snow Ice is awesome! The warm cream of almond is nice and creamy too. Didn't disappoint. - Jessica Chak
Must try. Good coffee, very nice butter Kaya toast bread. Ask for 'specil' toast. - Larry Chan
Cool place with great burgers, had a spicy one that was amazing. 3 levels, 1st level is restaurant, 2nd is bar with dim lighting and cool decor, 3rd is rooftop bar. - Kristina Liu
