Cocktails are prepped and dressed right in front of you at the bar , an interesting touch. Great cocktail list as well as solid classics such as this whisky sour with egg white .
If I could build my ultimate perfect bar , this would be it. The wood, leather, decor etc. is just fantastic. The cocktails are excellent. I really love this bar , and you should too.
The West 8th cocktail is my favorite. The ambiance is very chill and with the smooth jazz you are sure going to have a delightful evening. The manager is so kind and accommodating. Excellent service
15 dollar cocktails with higher end ingredients. Nice selection, but none of them truly pleased the palate. Great atmosphere and lounge area in back is awesome. Try the place for experience
Come here on Tuesday and Wednesday for live jazz . Order the lovely cocktails and devils on horseback. You won't regret it.
Great jazz soundtrack (and live jazz in Mondays), solid cocktails , and classy decor make this a great spot for a date or to catch up over a drink with friends.
The Jungle Bird classic cocktail is terrific. Warm lounge setting with comfortable leather chairs and candlelit cocktail tables.
Best bar around in a long time for nice big space , friendly staff , fantastic drinks, and great jazz music (sometimes even live). Thank god there is finally something great on 8th!
Drinks are good. But too many rules, no hats, can't stand near the bar - only seated... The host staff makes it feel like being over a friend's parents' house right after a family argument ended.
Beautiful, clean space. Old fashioned was impeccable. They also served a very unique and delicious drink called the Matahari (cognac/chai vermouth ?/lemon/pomegranate).
Good cocktails but the ambience and crowd don't justify the $15. Unimpressed with the staff . If you're really looking for a cocktail , find one of the several great speakeasies on the island .
The Sevillano is an excellent cocktail and the jazz here makes you feel like you've been brought back a century. The grilled cheese , french onion style, aint too bad either.
Nice intimate bar near Washington Square Park . For dates, a lot of 2 person seating at the back. Great cocktails !
Try the ‘Paloma in Retrograde’ cocktail for some sinfully smoky sipping. Atmosphere is dark and leathery.
cozy and expensive late night dating spot ; tasty cocktails and 10$ daily happy hour 5-7pm
Good spot for cocktails in the area. I enjoyed the Don Draper - a citrusy drink with tequila . Though, I think Don is a whiskey man.
Top notch Cocktails and Daily Jazz . Great spot for a classic NY night. Small plates are pretty solid too!
Comfortable early-20th Century vibe, and the quality cocktails to match. The food is really good, too.
Love this spot. Not too crowded , which is a huge bonus. If you like mezcal try the Oaxacal Smash
Great atmosphere and librar-luke design, comfy sofas and good service . Drinks were solid, but I was mostly disappointed with the food.
Good strong drinks . Classic cocktails . Try a Last Word if you like things a little strong and different
Free live jazz on Tuesdays ! Super nice, laid back place to grab a drink.
This place is amazing! Be sure to check out the live jazz and one of their delicious cocktails .
Happy hour has $10 cocktails which is pretty good but I wouldn’t pay more than that for them
Excellent service . Friendly low key atmosphere.
Expensive, but solid cocktails . Extensive list of drinks with both classics and unique concoctions .
Good, a bit pricey but quiet enough for conversations. Jazz on Tuesdays !
There's a back room that kicks ass. Good cocktails , and the back area of the front room is super comfy .
Excellent cocktails and great atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and walk to the back bar first.
They serve a classic old fashioned with plenty of rye/bourbon options. Luckily, bartenders give a heavy handed pour.
Very nice bar , warm ambiance, antique authentic look, amazing service
Plenty of seating. Awesome cocktail menu . Good waiting place for marlton bar reservation
Dope old school vibe in the heart of NYC's most low key bar scene.
Love the couches and it's a much quieter spot than most nearby bars .
Try the candied pecans with bacon while sipping your cocktail .
The cocktails here are really awesome! The bartenders , nay, mixologists are wizards.
Good, strong drinks , knowledgeable but slow bartenders , obnoxious staff .
The French onion grilled cheese is amazing. I could probably eat that every night for dinner !
Mezcal Cocktails are pretty good
Come for the drinks , stay for the music
A little pricy but the bartenders know their stuff and are super friendly .
Great spot for a date! Warm environment and delicious cocktails .
Great cocktails and the servers really know their spirits !
One of the few bars in the city that makes a proper Sidecar. Order one!

Great addition to the area. Solid cocktails .
Classy spot , delicious yet strong cocktails
Cool jazzy vibe. Great cocktails .
Great cocktails , service and snacks .
Delicious burgers and cocktails. Very similar to a tiki bar. The bartenders are extremely knowledgable, as well. - Tim Shea
Really roomy and classy bar for Manhattan. Loved the decor and vibe, spaciously laid out! - Ruchi Bansal
Great place to grab drinks with friends. Friendly bartenders, good music, fun unpretentious vibe. - Troy Larkin
