Great museum - not just dry information, but interactive and entertaining as well . Both my mom (a senior citizen) and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and learned a great deal.
Opening in April 2012, this brand-new, high-tech, Smithsonian Affiliate museum brings Colorado history to life through stories and exhibits right in the Golden Triangle Museum District.
We got a sneak peak of History Colorado Center for the Denver Post Top Workplaces event . Beautiful building, especially the inlaid floor map. Can't wait to check out the entire building.

The current exhibit features a dust bowl theatre . It was my favorite part. I also recommend trying on a bronco barrel.
Definite tour the whole place...Al. The exhibits are well done...The A to Zoo was a fun snapshot & the time machines are cool to play with!!

Awesome for kids!! Way more interactive and hands-on than I thought. They put a lot of hard work and thought into this re-build and it shows.

We loved the free "behind the scenes" tour of the archives at 11am on Tuesdays during the summer!
Caters to kids. I wish that there were more mature exhibits . It felt like it should be called The Children's Museum on Colorado History.
