Aside from an awesome happy hour spot , the food is delicious! Must have anything with a side of black beans , they are Strangely good to my Americanized taste buds :)
The best Mexican restaurant outside of Mexico. Everything on the menu is delicious and authentic . I especially enjoy the guacamole , esquites , and the homemade chips . You can't go wrong here.
High quality ingredients, quick attentive service . This place is now on my favorite Mexican food in seattle list. Had the chicken enchilada , which was not an enchilada but was superb.
Definitely get the guacamole as other reviewers suggested. I got the chipotle shrimp and it was tasty. Good mole too
Tacos are great! Sopes are also good. Nothing else I’ve tried though has been as special
Order everything, try new dishes it will only delight the taste buds. Helga is wonderful. Get in early because it gets busy be patient.
Come early.for dinner or be prepared to wait. It's a popular place for good reason! Food is freshly prepared while you wait. Also it's a small place!
The atmosphere is very cozy and relaxed. Great service too. The food is really good, but something was lacking to me.
Do your self a favor and get the sangria . Best I've ever had. Also, get anything on the menu. This place is the best for authentic mexican, none of that Azteca stuff here.
I love having chilaquiles for breakfast on a Saturday. There can be a line sometimes but it's always worth the wait
Señor Moose has the best Mexican food in Seattle ! Stop in for dinner but get in early because the wait can be long. Enjoy regional menu favorites, and stop in for huevos con napolitos for breakfast . Read more
The beat Huevos Rancheros in all of Seattle. Get it, you won't be sorry.
The mole is outta this world! As is everything else on the menu. It's often packed for dinner - be warned of a wait time!
Enchiladas de suizas and enchiladas de puya is the best
So good! Be prepared to wait, because there's always a line . Or, if you're a party of 1, snag a seat at the bar !
Best Mexican food in Ballard! Be prepared for 30-45min wait during the dinner rush and they only accept reservations for parties of 6+. Carne Asada is a must!!
A little heavy for breakfast , but a greyhound might help the tortas go down smoother. Get on the list if there's a wait!
Had the carne asada and liked it. Good atmosphere, a little more foodie than your typical Mexican restaurant .

Wow! Great guava mimosas , guacamole , carnitas , & sopes will keep me coming back time and time again!!
Best Mexican food in Seattle , tell your friends. Make sure you get the chips and salsa . 5 salsas !
¡Chilaquiles ! And they are very friendly about letting me practice my Spanish when I order. :)
Definitely spring for the horchata latte vs a regular coffee
Oaxacan style Mexican food . Delicious breakfast (my fave is the Machaca con Huevos )!! And a Bloody Maria to wash it down. Yummy!
Before you decide on a different brunch item, give the Chirizo con Papas y Nopales a serious consideration. Then order it and grin fervidly as you savor each bite.
Authentic and so delicious! The waits can be long.
Tasty authentic Mexican food - try the michelada , too!
They have remodeled! They have a bar area and it is awesome! This place is the best. The buceria salsa in the 5 salsa sampler is delish!
Solid breakfast choice is the machaca con papas
The chilaquiles are to die for. Red or green salsa , extras or not. They are awesome.
Delicious. Guacamole & fried plantains . And I second the Alambres. So good.
Their tostadas are possibly one of the best dishes in Seattle and very filling!
Great molé , fun queso fundito.
I always order the queso fundido con chorizo (instead of chips and guac ). It is gloriously delicious.
Really tasty guacamole and homemade tortillas chips are a great way to get started
Enchiladas
Get the chilaquiles , they are fantastic.
One of the best Mexican restaurants in town - absolutely worth the wait
Pork torta is freaking amazing.
Fantastic authentic Mexican food !!
Delicious and authentic
Try the fresa (strawberry ) margarita . So good!
The breakfast here is okay. Good egg scrambles .
Good chorizo for Seattle
Order the ridiculously-good guacamole . Don't worry- "market price" is about the same price as the other appetizers (~$8 when I visited).
Get there early and expect a wait!
I wanted to try their food but it such horrible service, we left. After waiting 30 mins to be seated. The service was super slow with a bad attitude from the waitress .
They have a good salsa sampler for chips .
Don't order the queso fundido unless you have at least 4 people to help you eat it! It's a lot of cheese !!
March 2013: closed for renovation.
