Go up the stairs through the revolving door. They keep a curtain covering the inside entrance. Don't be surprised when you push through and people are sitting there eating looking at you.
Try coming for lunch on a weekday - you might not even need a reservation then (but we did end up sharing our table). The beef with malt beer sauce was great and large enough for two. Excellent beer .

One of my favorite Cologne beer halls. Excellent food and all locals. Come here for lunch , dinner , or to warm up before a match.
The place serves Cologne's best Kölsch as well as such staples as kale stew with sausage .

Food comes oiut very quick! Blood sausage (blutwurst ) portion is quite small with only a few slices, and 1 third of plate is apple sauce and another third is mash potatoes .

You can buy bottles for home but it's not on the English menu. Check 'Ausser-Haus-Verkauf' on German menu!
The beer was great!! Definitely worth it. However the food was below expectations.
The place is cozy , nice, but be aware that the first option for appetizers , "metthappen", is raw minced pork in a rye roll. I didn't know that and it was not good at all.

Seit US-Präsident Clinton da war, hat es sich vom Geheimtipp zum Touristenmagnet entwickelt. Könnt am Thekenschaf aber täglich bis 22 Uhr für 0,80€ Kölsch und lecker Malzbier für außer Haus erwerben.
Cervecería alemana donde sirven su propia cerveza en vasitos de 0.2cl. Muy buen ambiente y la comida está muy buena. Muy recomendable los codillos

Ein typisches Brauhaus mit leckerem Kölsch und sehr gutem einfachen Essen. Das Malzbier (mit Alkohol) ist ein Muss.

Die Empfehlung über den „legendären“ Mühlenburger kann ich so nicht weitergeben. Ist nur ganz okay. Große Portionen, deftige Speisen , kölsches Personal.
